The telstar was in production from 76-78.The 1292 was released in 78. The cannel f in 76. RCA and Atari VCS in 77 (renamed to 2600 in 82). I got my first game console christmas 77 (but can't remember specifically what one), and it was replaced with a RCA studio II in 80 (doh) closely followed by an atari. |

There's a few missing in the list. Commodore released one just before they went belly up based on the Amiga 1200 hardware called the CD32 which was a 32 bit platform which was actually pretty good. It wasn't on the market long though. |

Wooo, I had a CD-I!
It really, really sucked though...
That game they showed with the Philips CD-I is Link: The Faces of Evil.
Nintendo were gonna get help from Philips make a CD console, but they broke up. They gave them permission to make some games based on their Nintendo characters. There was a Mario Hotel one (a good one for kids I suppose) and two Legend of Zelda games, one called Link The Faces of Evil where you played as Link saving Zelda and Zelda Wand of Gamelon where you play as Zelda saving Link. They're both terrible and have had hilarious Youtube Poops made with content from the game.
