Monday, September 08, 2008 2:35:59 PM Apparently the story is true. I looked it up on the new scientist website. Although I don't believe this video is real because the device in new scientist is different and no one is allowed to touch it without alcohol sterilized gloves because it is in a germ free laboratory not a living room. |

Monday, September 08, 2008 1:24:17 PM its nt a whole brain, just neurons, in a vial, within the robot.. and showing that would have opened it up to un-steralized conditions.. also this isnt a hoax, fake videos dont get into newscientist magazine.. this had a big double page spread a few weeks back. |

Sunday, September 07, 2008 11:04:58 PM The brain would have to be kept in a sterile environment. Also robotics and electronics are created and tested in a sterile dust free environment. That is a fact. This is nothing but a remote controlled toy.Don't you think the video would show the device where the brain is kept if it were real?

Sunday, September 07, 2008 6:52:07 AM Can't be real. It looks like someones home or office. This would be videotaped in a sterilized lab environment.I don't think tech of this magnitude would be allowed to be taken home or played with in an office. They did do an experiment once by implanting a squirrels brain on a microchip and then implanting the chip in the brain of a rat. Right away the rat started to crave acorns.

Saturday, September 06, 2008 5:27:33 PM It does seem a bit cruel. That poor rat has no idea what is going on.On the other hand, that is by far the creepiest thing I have seen for a while. On the other, er, foot, that is AWESOME! |
