Tuesday, September 02, 2008 12:47:06 PM @SpacemnSpiff"how do you get everyone to unite when they have different beliefs on how things should be." By embracing tolerance and compassion. The world will not see peace by forcing beliefs. Quite the opposite in fact. |

Tuesday, September 02, 2008 12:42:37 PM No that wasn't drating hitler, it was Charlie Chaplin ffs. And he had that mustache LONG before anyone outside of Germany even knew who Hitler was. |

Tuesday, September 02, 2008 12:42:31 PM I loved the movie, I wasn't a big fan of the speech. The ideas are good, but how do you get everyone to unite when they have different beliefs on how things should be. Damn free will! Plus how do you fight peacefully against people who would kill you in a heartbeat if you go against them. |

Monday, September 01, 2008 10:12:41 AM Chaplin is epic win.He was a pretty good Orator for being a comedian. and no, he doesn't sound like Obama, he sounds impassioned, in which Obama may also be impassioned. (That and they both speak to progressivism.

Monday, September 01, 2008 1:01:55 AM The best thing about this movie is that it came out in 1940, before the US even entered the war.Smart man, that Charlie. |

Monday, September 01, 2008 12:33:08 AM My god, I love this monologue. The thing is, it was horribly (and reversely, incredibly) controversial at the time because not only was it an amazing monologue for the movie, but it was Chaplin's personal opinion about the state of the war. Did you see that? I totally got goosebumps. Speaking of.. umm... talking... Burnsy set up some unofficial IAB forums that are really pretty shnazzy (that's a good thing). So if anyone's interested, the more people the better: http://theiabforum.freeforums.org/ PS, Fancy I love you don't hate me, my posts are still totally relevant and on topic. D: |
