his friends kinda wussed out on him, they had vidoe evidence saying that that man hit him with a board, they would leave but not allowed, the cop provoked the kids but didnt get a responce so he arrested one in america that should get a cop fired or suspended! i dont blame them though, they were scared and tried to letget the cop to let him go

At least in the end he said "No, I'm taking you home"
Makes it a bit better, trust me, I know being in the back of one of them, and getting dropped off at home instead of the department is a hell of a lot easier to deal with

First of all - this 13 yr old kid was never "attacked" ( as the title of the video states). Second, actually the adults in the video showed quite a bit of restraint. The teenagers all deserved to have their collective asses kicked! Simply for being disrespectful douche bags! Enough said!

You don't have a cop for a dad. That position puts stress on your shoulder and it feels like your arm is gonna brake. Doesn't look like it hurts, but it can.
I like how you only defend that point, but ignore the other points I made.
And sure, maybe the arm lock hurts, but it should not hurt more than necessary, unless you're struggling. The more you struggle, the more it hurts. Same with handcuffs. Handcuffs should not hurt at all, unless you're resisting. And I wasn't really saying the kid wasn't in pain, I was just saying that his yells of pain sounded acted.

@EvilPanda: The kid smirked at the cop, the cop said come with me I'm taking you home, the kid resisted and got cuffed for resisting.

You don't show disrespect to the police. DUH. You do that and they can arrest you. The kid got off easy being taken home to mommy and daddy.

Plus the non-nice individuals were trespassing on private property and disrespecting the owner when told to leave. DUMB. Stupid.

The kids were on private property, and when they were first confronted by the guy in the green, they were being disrespectful little pricks.

@Fo: I'm sure they realized it was private property, but it was an almost empty parking lot. They weren't near cars. And I've watched the video about 8 times now to see where he says "Don't do that again." He said it, but not for going up the ramp. He said it generically for them being there skating in the first place.
@Fartacus: What directions did the kid not follow? He was getting up, TO LEAVE.

Anyway, at this point I don't care to agrue anymore. It doesn't change what happened. It doesn't matter.

The kid was not arrested. The cop took him home to make a point. Let mommy and daddy beat some sense into him.

And the kid was cuffed for not following directions from the cop. You cooperate or you get restrained.

Those kids were really drating bratty though.

Good point. Citizen's arrest. He detained them on his property. I wonder what state this was in....

Sorry.

[Finishing the sentence from above]

The kids were putting on a show for less-minded people to bandwagon.

Is it just more or are some of the comments getting cut off at the last few characters? I know I have less than or equal to 1000 characters. It happened to my fourth post above as well. Anyways, I hope that people can read through these last few posts and realize the extent of the situation. If you can't, well, I'll just stop here before I make a fool out of myself.

@Evilpanda: when you see a sign that says "No Trespassing Violators Will Be Prosecuted", what the hell do you think it means? You can trespass and then just leave and everything is all right? No. There doesn't even have to be a sign, but my point is, if the owner wished to pressed charges, he could have. If you watch the video, the owner says something to the effect of: "If you do it one more time I'm calling the authorities", or something like that. Then what does the kid do? He skates back onto the ramp. The owner has the right to press charges and keep the kids there if he wishes.

It all comes down to good old common sense: if it isn't yours, then don't use it without permission. Friends of mine skate all the time on private property (or their own property, which I don't know why more people can't do), but they asked the owner first and everything is good.

The police officer did not abuse his power in any way. The kids were putting on a show for less-minded p

well, if u r tresspassing and skateboarding where u aren't suspose too...then YOU NEED to respect private property and either leave or gett arrested... To many wize ass teenagers who think that their smart assed attitude doesn't need adjusting. If their parent or parents taught them some manners like they're suspose to, then a lot of this wouldn't happen!!

Comparing these kids to "other skaters in vids" is nothing. If that worked, a shoplifter could say, "Compared to that murderer over there, I'm practically a saint!"
The kids were trespassing, and they took property that did not belong to them. They were in the wrong. Argue all you want, but this is true. The cop did not arrest the kid, he escorted him home. There is a difference.
And the kid yelling, "Ow, my arm!" I'm sorry, but that seemed so fake to me. He seemed to be trying to put on a show for the camera and people around him. Handcuffs and arm locks should not hurt unless you are resisting; which the kid did at the beginning of being taken by the cop, if you notice.

@Everyone saying they could have left when they were asked: The fat property owner guy told the kid in the white shirt to "stay here." If you listened to the video he even asked a guy out of camera "Chris" to make sure he stayed. The rest of the group didn't want to abandon their friend so they stayed to. It looked ot my like they were going to leave when the old guy took the ramp away. When the cop arrested the 13 year old, all the kid did that seperated him from the group and got him a ride home was a little grin. I would have grinned to, I meen, seriously, I just wouldn't be able to help myself. The cop, while being allowed to take the kid to his parents, abused his power in a sense by singling him out for something so stupid. And to the people who said they were being disrespectful and such: They said they would leave. They didn't swear the guy out. The didn't really fight back. Compared to the other cop vs skater vids, they were almost like saints.

Good. The little dicks should have left when the old dude came out and asked them about the trash can. I hope the kid's parents took his board away for a long time. The cop should have used a tazer.

I can understand where people are coming from when they say cops are corrupt, etc. Indeed, anybody with power has the ability to become corrupt, and when you add the gun & the authority to ruin lives it worsens. Of course, everybody will point out the horrible police officers and never stop to think how many are good and honest.

Also, I wish that skepticism could be applied elsewhere. Why do we blindly accept so much abuse of power among other branches of government? It's because we see direct cause & effect with our direct contact with police officers, but not so much with other "Public Servants" swindling and taking advantage of the taxpayers.

Wow, those kids sure are tough and impressive. Later on, when they go to jail, I wonder if they will feel just as tough when they become intimate with their respecive cell mates. Just thinking about it makes me happy.

Kudos FoTower! Thanks for posting!

We are on the same wavelength here. I usually don't post unless it is something I feel can contribute to a civil debate or educate someone.

In this video, it's simply common sense. There's nothing hard or outlandish about, "Hmm. I don't own this. My parents don't own this. I don't have permission....I probably shouldn't be here." The sequence of events following is surprisingly tame considering, as FoTower said, the comments & the subtitle's use of "attack".

Nice to meet you FoTower! :)

The cop is an non-nice individual! Video camera is best thing to come along to catch cops out of control and to protect yourself. Teens, ALWAYS have a camera and turn it on whenever a cop is around. Your word means nothing compared to a cop's word when it comes to court. COPS LIE ALL THE TIME. COPS ABUSE THEIR POWER ALL THE TIME. Hurray for cameras, sites like this and YouTube. 58 year old dude.

Fourth post...

This is what I am talking about. You, sir, need to get your head out of your @$$. Our police force is what keeps our nation running smooth, without anarchy. If you don't appreciate a police force, then go try and live in a country that is plunged into anarchy. Try Darfur or Iraq, I hear they are wonderful vacation destinations. I'm sorry for the language, but it's comments like this that really make me wonder just how people can think suc
