American Raised Kobe goes for about $14 to $18 per pound. True Japanese Kobe is about $40 per pound imported. Japan the price of Kobe is close to $80 per pound. The young calf's are raised on milk and beer and grow into high grade grains and beer usually feed in a trough. Each cow is messaged twice daily. The cow is killed Japan by sword with one swift blow to the neck in order to keep the animal as calm as possible in order to keep stress hormones from releasing into the beef at the time of the kill. Try Kurobuta Pork raised in the same manner of Kobe. It's the veal of pork.  |

haha last summer when i was in japan i had kobe beef that was 5 oz. any guess on how much it costit cost 9000 yen or around 90 buckz

Dude, what the heck?We should have Kobe beef farms over here in the U.S. All these people complaining about lack of employment, etc... well I saw 6 different people massaging ONE cow, so why the heck don't we bring them over here? Then you have more jobs for taking care of the cows, Kobe Beef is cheaper for rich Americans because it's domestic, beer sales go up more and there's more jobs at breweries, etc. |

Pretty disturbing clip for so many reasons. It's a shame that we have all these robots and applicances to do our work for us but instead of reaping the benefits in the form of free time we just create more useless jobs like massaging a cow for 8 hours a day. |
