I once found the head of a lioness perfectly mapped out in the earth in Africa but didn't know how to do screen grabs and never found it again. It was massive so it wasn't man made.

"The swastika one is stupid. Why are they paying $600,000 to get rid of a peace symbol?"

Because whatever it's original meaning was, the swastika stands for something completely different after Hitler adopted it as the symbl for the Nazi party..
That said, I don't see why they should change it. It's obviously not made with those intentions, and it will only be noticed by a fraction of people.. Most of wich wont care anyways..

Not WTF of the day worthy. It'd need to be Japanese to be that.

In all seriousness, I got a few giggles out of it. Good 'nuff for me.

"Here Google Earth captures a truck that crashed and sprawled out over East Burleigh Avenue just outside of Bismarck, North Dakota."

Sweet, I live in Bismarck! It's a pretty great place - aside from the cold.

All of these are kinda lame. The brand spamming makes me sad.

There was a giant bug (150 feet long) on one of the Germany maps that ended up being a tiny bug caught in the scanner. It isn't there anymore though :(

i didn't really find any of them that bizarre. except maybe the brand spamming. 4 of those were just image overlay issues. and the 'bursts of light one' ... ZOMG! LIGHT CAN REFLECT OFF OF THINGS!?!?! NO WAI!!! the rest get nothing more than a "hm" out of me.

I actually live in Ocala where John Travolta lives. He was at the movie theater the other day and everyone went crazy. Although from what I hear he likes to go to places at odd hours and works out at the same Gym I do.
