Our school made us walk through a field of bulls, for our duke of edinburgh bronze walk.
They charged at us, and we had to run across the field with huge bags ('cause we had to carry our tents, trangias etc.)
It was fricken scary.

I wonder how traditions like these start. Did some farmer lose control of his bulls on market day then everyone thought it was great fun running screaming from enraged cattle and decided to do it again next year, or did the beasts hypnotize them to do their will and let them run free through the streets destroying everything in their paths? |
