Doomsday:
Assuming black hole theory 100% correct
-We get destroyed very very very slowly, very painful as everything gets "spaghettied" into eachother
-No possible way of stopping it unless had something equivalent to a nova bomb which would just insta obliderate the solar system.
-This new particle is able to sustain itself and produces same effect as a star's gravitational pull, pulling in parts of the solar system.
Non doomsday:
Assuming hawkings radiation theory is correct
-Blackholes will die as soon as they are born
-We discover new methods of travel, energy use and things of our wildest imagination.
Prevention of this ever happening:
-Courts decide not to allow this to happen.
-"Terrorists" permantently deactivate the apparatus.
-We create a wormhole with the technology and earth gets pulled into a time looping thing so we experience the same fate up until the worm hole for the rest of eternity all over again and again and |

I think it'll spawn an array of new chemicals and elements Many of them proving to be Extremely dangerous to human life therefore wiping out life as we know it.... Or It could Do what it was made for: Making a lot of noise and stuff. |

Actually, it'll probably be fine until 2012, then it will killl us all (supposedly the Mayan calendar ends in 2012 so the world is going to end then because the Mayans knew everything). (Aliens told them of course- Indian Jones explains everything! LOL.) |

Um ok, I don't care what the chances are, if there's one chance at all the the ENTIRE EARTH could actually be DESTROYED, then its probably not worth it, hm? I'd rather never know about dark matter, and still be alive! Seriously, does anyone really think this is worth it? It's the first time (that I know of) that humans have done something that could destroy the planet instantly. Crazy scientests! It was nice knowing you, IAB friends- enjoy your last month of life! (jk on that last part...I'm sure we'll be ok, I just think its a dumb idea). (Let's gamble cool scientific discoveries against, say, the existence of our planet. Good idea, right?) |
