Sunday, June 22, 2008 10:14:10 PM so i might not be smart enough to understand the actual sci. behind it, but no matter what happens with a time machine, even if you could go back in time, you'll never be able to change the current time. because if u go back in time and change something, it would have already been changed when u experienced it the first time. you just didnt realize it the first time around |

Sunday, June 22, 2008 12:02:59 PM I doubt people realized one certain thing he said. You cannot go back farther then the moment the time machines is activated. Meaning that you can't really change anything, everything will happen the way it should. Once the time machine is activated, things will start coming through it, but we'd never see a time WITHOUT those things so technically there'd never be a paradox. So this could work. But it's pretty boring. |

Sunday, June 22, 2008 12:14:52 AM time travel is almost impossible the energy to move even a tiny particle through space so that it travels faster than the speed of light is tremendous. the only way i think you could do that is with help from a black hole but there is the problem, you would need to create or find a star and collapse it resulting in a black hole which would take lots of time and energy then you would have to travel into it faster that the speed of light becuz even light cant get thru it then bend space to have the destination which can be in another part, time, or even a dimmention in space. |

Saturday, June 21, 2008 10:07:29 AM You see guys, too much paradox to even think it possible, and if it is possible, there would be to many risks to control it. You would have too many precautions and rules it wouldn't even be worth it. Also, if a 30 year old man left the machine on for a hundred years, and went through it, only to turn it off once he arrived 100 years back, the poor guy would disappear, because he turned off the machine and made it impossible to travel from the time he came from. He would have to disappear, and a parallel version of himself would take on the past version of himself. |

Saturday, June 21, 2008 9:58:52 AM Sorry, there's no way to communicate with the future through the time machine. You can turn on the time machine for an hour and maybe travel back within that hour, but having a millennium of difference or more is impossible. Reason being, you can't obtain anything from your machine when the risk of the machine being turned off and having cut off the acquired availability for moving back to how ever many years it has been on for is too great. You could receive something then turn off the machine, thus making it impossible to have received the item in the first place, due to the fact that after it was turned off, it becomes a MUCH smaller time frame for time travel. You would have to enclose the time machine with an impenetrable shield, to ensure nothing could go in and turn it off, and power the machine so that it, without exception, could never malfunction or turn off. And as you received the object you would have to immediately turn the shield back on or the object would disappear. |

Saturday, June 21, 2008 6:48:31 AM Hi guys. I am from the future and I am here to tell you that time travel does not exist. I made a mistake and now I am unable to return to my present cos you stupid people haven't invented a time machine for me to travel back to the future. |

Friday, June 20, 2008 10:21:13 PM Yep, that makes sense. We'll time travel with lasers making a spiral patern. It's about time you plebians caught up. I'm going to go bathe in plutonium now, and eat some rocks. Because that's what future people do. |

Friday, June 20, 2008 9:09:32 PM What is the right mind? Believing what you want to believe? You totally missed the part where he mentioned you cannot go back in time where there is no time machine. Without the time machine there is nothing to send what ever you want to send to. Its like delivering mail to a house that isn't there, you'd send the package only to get a error message stating that their is nothing to receive the package. |

Friday, June 20, 2008 8:53:25 PM drat time travel... i think that if we were able to do time travel, then we would have already heard from some non-nice individual in like the 1900's, saying "hey! you can make a time machine yo!" then he would gibe us some weird advanced piece of technology, to help us. so, by inventing a time machine, we would have already known, and by that not hapening, its not possible. you cant reverse time, its gone. i dont understand why people cant understand that. time is not hidden in an atom, it is a matter of physics, which exists, but cannot be detected. its simply something we made up, and it works with the way our universe works. so i hate to say give up already, but your wasting our money. do something good with life, not waste it. so i agree with every one else on this board thats in their right mind. |

In a couple of months there will be as much energy as there were a hundred millionths of a second after the big bang =D. Oh god, can you smell the destruction ? PIKACHU AND ALL THE POKEMON WILL BE REAL ! ^_^. |

Friday, June 20, 2008 6:03:04 PM There are some really good theories on here, but time(meanwhile hooking up a cage around computer)is constant, and neither information nor mass can travel into the FAR future, because it hasn't happened yet, or to the past because it is already done. The best way I could say it is: If time were living, the present is alive, the past is dead, and the future is to be born. Leave the dead alone because you can't bring it back, just cope with the present because it's what you got, and you'll have to wait for the future because it hasn't been born. That said, it is quite simple to understand that points in time, either on a universal time line or someones own personal time line, cannot be visited or communicated with. As much as I would like to talk to my great grandchildren^5 to see how nice the future is, It is simply IMPOSSIBLE. |
