Thursday, June 19, 2008 4:07:31 PM This is really cool.. seeing how well preserved the little mammoth is.. It'll be just right to study the evolution and extinction of species.. what I mean by that is that any species that died out long before any sort of human intervention HAD to die out, and shouldn't be brought back.. We need to concentrate on the species human beings have wiped out through ignorance and urban sprawl.. Let's fix the damage we've done, instead of messing with the natural order of things.. |

Thursday, June 19, 2008 4:06:24 PM "3 - Most creationsists (formally known as young earth creationists) Belive the earth to be only 6k years old, which is debunked by the recently discovered 9k year old tree (count the rings)."i agree, but more and more christians are beginning to move towards the idea that the 6 days of the creation story are actually metaphorical days spanning millions of years. despite the stereotypes we aren't just a bunch of ignorant wackjobs :) creationism and evolution can coexist. |

Thursday, June 19, 2008 1:14:20 PM i am going to chime in on this creation vs evolution debate for your proof or whatever you require. 1 - The jews (you know, the people who wrote the old testament?) believe evolution is not only fact, but a pillar of life science. As published by the Rabbinical Council of America (this would be the lead rabbis who live here in america). 2 - Do a Yahoo search on Samoa butterfies evolve, there you will find an article where scientists witness evolution that spanded 1 generation. The said it is the first time evolution could be witnessed and at such an alarming rate. 3 - Most creationsists (formally known as young earth creationists) Belive the earth to be only 6k years old, which is debunked by the recently discovered 9k year old tree (count the rings). 4 - Lastly, i don't care if your a fundementalist just stop attacking science because you are insecure about your faith. Attacking something because you feel threatened is only further proof of lack of faith. |

Thursday, June 19, 2008 12:52:48 PM Hey HydrolysateWhat about the people that believe in creation and evolution? Also, you seem awfully high strung and stressed to say "I don't care" or "believe what you want". If you meant that, then you wouldn't even be arguing points. You would say "you believe in god"...."that's cool".."later". That's someone that doesn't care. You however are cracking me up. Oh, and I'm not saying what I believe in this topic...mostly because...I don't care, LOL. |

Thursday, June 19, 2008 9:09:37 AM Mammoths were evolved for the Ice-age. Bringing them back now would totally screw up their heating things... wait.. We have icey lands. I'll shut up now. *puts on dunce hat*

Thursday, June 19, 2008 8:55:32 AM I wasn't expecting an evolution vs creation debate. I should be more wary. That and mammoths actually died out 5,000, not 10,000 years ago. http://www.radiocarbon.org/Journal/v37n1... |

Thursday, June 19, 2008 8:30:17 AM Oh Mrs Lovett! How naive. But yeah, I agree with you Patthebaker: anything scientific with Newman involved is simply too scary to comprehend. |
