Indeed, amazing, but still:
This presentation is more than one year old, Microsoft has bought the technology even longer ago, but still they are not able to present a really functioning version.My guess: It's rather a supporting marketing instrument for Bill Gates' picture library Corbis. |

I'm very pleased with what Microsoft has done here. Very neat bit of coding, and the idea, although the idea of compiling pictures (like picture collection programs) or putting together 3D images (like google earth) isn't exactly original, the method of collecting and then compiling all kinds of 2D's to form a 3D render is the pretty hot. I'm sure that computer was running a whole lot of RAM, but he could be right in saying that the amount of processing power necessary was only equal to the size of the display. Good job, Microsoft. Produce it, and expect apple to scramble together some sort of "baby's first toaster / photosynth" to combat it. |

Oh get over it people. Microsoft is one of the most, if not THE most, succesfull businesses ever. If you can't accept that being in big business means cheating a little you're naive. All success means cheating a little and cutting corners. Maybe paying a few people off. It happens. Get over it! |

They just linked a bunch of photos ya idiots. This is pointless, its like viewing google image search results. Its just retarded and microsoft is trying to make it look cool. No wonder no other company made it, its usually microsoft that makes this type of crap. And sorry for you if you believe them. |
