Tuesday, April 29, 2008 11:06:35 PM I've played the latest PC games such as Assassin's Creed and Crysis. The graphics are marvelous, but the gameplay... not so much. These games were loaded with repetitions and vast padding. Storywise, they were so-so (Creed's ending, much?). I didn't enjoy any of those games, Bioshock was the exception, though. After playing such high-specs games, I find myself going back for my NDS and GBA. I find myself enjoying games like Ace Attorney a whole lot more, despite the lack of voices, anime graphics, etc... |

Tuesday, April 29, 2008 9:25:41 PM "i dont get it he hates long cutscenes but he loves 20 minute long FFVII cutscenes"The 20 minute long FFVII cutscenes were RELEVANT. They built up plot and character development. Watching the 'boss' of the stage at extreme close up and having to listen to his nine hour speech about how he's going to destroy you is not relevant. |

Tuesday, April 29, 2008 9:20:56 PM Never EVER compromise the story with a hack writer. It devastates the game on so many levels. Also, good voice actors and writers don't EVER taint a game with a disgusting dialog cliche!I'm of course referring to "Obscure" on the PS2, and the quote "Wow, what a sticky situation." coming from a kid in HIGH SCHOOL. NO! BAD DEVELOPER! NO BISCUIT! |

Tuesday, April 29, 2008 6:58:17 PM #6 (I think...)Seriously. In some games it takes longer to get to the next mission than it does to actually do the mission. Like Tomb Raider. Oh man. Some of those cutscenes made me want to kill myself. & of course, #1. I think Final Fantasy VII says enough about that in itself. Compared to today, the graphics are pretty terrible, yet it's still an amazing game that everyone loves to play. |

Tuesday, April 29, 2008 4:02:32 PM Now, Battlefield 0 (Battlefield, but in WW1) or something like that would be really fun. |

Tuesday, April 29, 2008 4:01:22 PM Why? Sitting in a trench or using a rifle with three rounds in a magazine is not fun. And even still, it would be a WW2 clone since they'd just *have* to give you an automatic weapon of some sort to appeal the console tards. |

Tuesday, April 29, 2008 3:26:34 PM Gotta add two of my own:#8. Thou (Reviewers) shall not drench console games (or any game) in needless hyperbole. Halo, Bioshock, Gears of War... Average. Okay. Run of the mill. And yet we have reviewers jumping left and right and creaming themselves over what is undoubtedly the masterpiece of the year. And then there's the disparity between console games and PC games. When was the last time you saw a PC-only game with '10/10, best game ever' or similar tripe? #9. Thou shalt not use stupid copy protection. Sins of a Solar Empire has no copy protection. None. Zero. And yet it's selling extremely well. News Flash: You don't need software that rapes your computer (Starforce) or cannot be uninstalled (SecuROM) in order to prevent piracy. In fact, this kind of crap is what prompts many to buy the game and then torrent it, just to escape the copy protection. Congratulations, you made a game that encourages piracy. Everything else is gold. |

Tuesday, April 29, 2008 2:34:21 PM Rule #1, hogwash. The Wii is in a different market than the PS3 and Xbox. People who buy the Wii use it as a party system, system for their kids, or secondary system (I have a PS3 and I might get a Wii. Probably wont though.) The PS3 and Xbox are for people who will spend hours on those machines. A Wii wont have the technological capabilities. (P.S. I think PS3 will eventually outsell the Wii once Blu-ray becoms popular). And when I play a game I want it to have the best graphics. Graphics aren't a bonus, they are a necessity. What the game offers is innovation, the graphics should be mandatory.

Tuesday, April 29, 2008 1:03:44 PM I actually like the huge wilderness in oblivion, but I totally agree with the lack of mutilation to things when you kill them. I have to think, though, that since it's already rated M, that maybe the reason that they didn't include more gore is because if the game got an A rating, it wouldn't have been released by anyone (stupidly, because plenty of adults can enjoy more violence). I think they just didn't want the Adult rating which they most certainly would have gotten if you were able to slash open someone's face with blood spurting everywhere. |

Tuesday, April 29, 2008 12:54:04 PM Although I like eye candy, if it's gonna make the game slow and less enjoyable it's not worth it. |

Tuesday, April 29, 2008 12:36:22 PM "#1. Better graphics do not equal innovation and/or creativity."So god damn true... The past last weeks I've done nothing but playing classic NES/SNES and GBA games (mostly Zelda), and it struck my mind that these games are way more fun to PLAY than all these poopy graphics-based games we have today... *cough*Crysis*cough* |
