Why are you scared of a person with a long tongue and beady eye who has no nose? Did creatures like this really existed in the past? Are they still there? Scared yet?

Yea ive got virgin media too, the throttling is a PAIN IN THE ASS!!!!!!, but its the only place where you can get 50meg fiber. TBH downloading a file at 10mps is worth minor throttling, a gig in 2 minutes is pretty impressive even gears of war took me less than half an hour to download. |

Unfortunately I am a virgin media customer, and I already have a problem with their bandwidth throttling policy. After downloading 800mb in a day, my download speed drops by at least 50% until the late evening. This is because I am a 'heavy user'. What the video doesn't mention though, is that in the UK, virgin media have a monopoly as they are the only cable provider in the country. This makes boycotting them impossible, and I just have to put up with it. (does this mean I can get laid though?) |

The Web will never be controlled, if one ISP does something the consumers don't like, then the other ISPs prey on that and will deliver exactly what Virgin aren't delivering. And also, if they did manage to regulate the web, well it's pretty obvious that something very similar to the World Wide Web will be developed to deliver what the web doesn't. The only reason that there hasn't been many things similar to the Web created, is because it already does everything so well there has been no need to put in the massive amount of effort to produce a similar web like client. Geez, whatever happened to the good old days when internet was free. |
