Who get's herpes from cell phones?

Honestly, show me some one who claims to have gotten herpes from using some one else's cell phone and I'll show you some one deep in denial.

misstakenID, no, what doesn't kill us makes us crippled and weak ;] ... and yeah, it's never a bad idea to keep yerself healthy... even by such small means like wiping yer cell onces in a while... i clean mine every day, not because i knew about the bacteria, but because it's been over two years and it still looks like i just took it out of the packaging... i like my things to be nice and new ^.^

meh. who cares? you're not going to die from a cold.
and you shouldnt go anywhere near anyone who has herpes anyway.
I probably WILL start cleaning my cellphone, though, it's just one of those things you dont think about, like mopping under your bed.

"Fortunately I wasn't sick that day"???? Oh, you lucky, lucky girl....

And apparently phones have a lot of bacteria found on the hands and in the mouth... OH NO!!!!! wait, if they live in our hands and mouth, how are they dangerous?

btw, 99.99% of germs are harmless, and we would die without them (someone probably said that before)

End of rant. Thanks for reading.

Meh.
I wipe off my screen after all my calls anyways.
And what about landlines?
If your friend comes over and is sick you still let them use it.

Oh come ON people.
Seriously, theres a point of being intelligent about infection and then theres taking the whole thing way to friggin far.

Ok, Lesson 1. You don't challenge your immune system, you wont HAVE an immune system. People who bathe themselves in antibacterial crap 24/7 have a higher risk of getting sick.

Lesson 2. Not all bacteria is bad. What the heck do you think it floats around on your body for?

Lesson 3. If you have been sick, IE: had some weird infection/disease then its probably a good idea to clean your phone, much like you wouldnt drink out of a contaminated cup or use the same toothbrush again.

Lesson 4. Wal-mart is nasty. Pure and simple :P

Um excuse me but i was under the assumption that putting any unsterelised object into a cultivating environment will allow large quantities of germs to grow.. therefore these tests are merely designed to scare us all

I've always wondered if it was okay to use rubbing alcohol swabs on phones. Good to know.
I always knew Walmart was a breeding ground for germs :P
