To the people that say that the robots suck because it's taken a few years and they still can't do what we can, remember this. It took millions of years of evolution to let us do what we can, so these robots being able to do that much in what, 12 years of development MAX? That's killing nature's pace.
Because we designed them with the intelligence we have now, or we tried to. They aren't like us starting from a small organism changing over millions of years, they started at about what we are capable, minus our brain power. Machine will never be better than man.

they cant enslave us if we dont program violence. the adverse is that if we can teach them to fight wars, no more human casualties; again we lead to the turning the violence on their owners...if the robots can obey the 3 rules of robotics then we are fine, but if they decide to violate any of the rules, mainly the first, we are screwed. |

i have about 25,000 of these already manufactured, with plans to have at least 1,000,000 standing this summer. they are armed to the teeth and as mean as nazi's. the enslavement has begun. |

Machines are doing a better job then anyone else ever could at no price ( other then the price of the machine itself ) no wonder everyone in the manufacturing industry are getting canned all the time.Humans have to learn to live in another type of society that would not be as competitive. Resource based economy, now. |

I was just waiting for it to go crazy and start killing reporters. Then when I saw the second one appear out of nowhere I knew at any moment an entire army of them was going to appear and start enslaving humanity .... for now they wait in the shadows. |

Man, if a waiter was this bloody slow, he'd be canned within minutes. I guess it just shows you that while these robots are impressive, they have a long way to go in order to achieve what we're able to do so easily. |

Exactly what the description says. How long until it replaces us? And of course it is the Japanese who are making this stuff. What's so special about it? Are people becoming this lazy that they have to make robots do everything for them? |

Tankity, this is merely a step, the sheer fact that they have robots that can perform the simple function is amazing. plus all they need to do is add speed, which could easily be done by adding 2 more legs or giving it wheels for a base or anything. they have the legs to merely show off |
