Wednesday, February 13, 2008 9:36:49 PM I had one of these when I was about nine. Haven't you children seen the Simpsons ep where Bart fools the town that he's fallen down a well? |

Tuesday, February 12, 2008 3:42:22 PM this was actually 1979, close but not really 80s. I like to think the only good thing to come out of the 80s was me, and that's even stretching it. |

Monday, February 11, 2008 10:08:02 PM I was born at the end of 1980, I had something like this when I was like 5 or 6. This commercial was odd because who the hell would carry one around and talk on it? It was useful for bothering or freaking someone out in the next room... or of course for being an idiot recording yourself on it. And yes, just like on that one Simpsons episode, one of the first things I thought of, besides that I had one and now I feel lame and old. Hell I still remember the internet being dialup BBS access from back in the way early 90s. So I guess I could say I was there and saw it evolve? Yeah.. oh well. |

Monday, February 11, 2008 8:48:38 PM now if it had a longer range you could potentially pull off sooooo many good pranks, but seeing in the video they had to be right next to the radio, well theres no difference between that and just talking normally |

Monday, February 11, 2008 3:53:15 PM and clc, yes, stupid inventions due advance technology. For example, Mac Book Air, it seems stupid but it has technology that will contribute in the future. Just not now. |

Monday, February 11, 2008 3:52:11 PM Me and my sister (10 years older) always have the argument, What was the worst and best decade? For worse we think 60's because it lead to the 70's (we could have said 70's but if you caused the 70s you are worse). And the best, we go split ways. She says 80's just because it ended the 70s (no other reason though. Come on, Mr. Microphone, Jordache jeans, Jherri Curls?). I say 90's because it ended the 80s and it had a talking dog "Drop the Chalupa".So in conclusion, the 80s greatest contribution was that it ended the 70s (it still has its influence on today though, sadly. Boy bands still sound like girls). 90s for life or atleast until The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air theme song finally gets old. |
