I'm probably going to get hated on for this but I don't think Martin Luther King was all that great. I respect Malcom X a lot more than MLK. Both were great men, but Malcom was a saint compared to MLK. Besides, MLK took most of his views from Ghandi. GHANDI FTW!!! |

Larajunky:Grow up, please. Everyone knows there is a "White person's Day." Thanksgiving. The day where we proudly salute the death of Native American Culture. The guy on the video asked his boss about Thanksgiving, remember? "You celebrated Thanksgiving? Are you a pilgrim?" You don't need to be black to celebrate MLK Day, just like you don't need to be a pilgrim to celebrate Thanksgiving. And to everyone else. . . have you ever noticed how the people who always say, "We need to act like everyone is the same" are usually closeted bigots? Discuss. By the way: my ancestors on my dad's side were Mayflower people, my fiancee is Asian, and my cousin is African-American. We're not the same. We should try to embrace and tolerate our DIFFERENCES. That's what HUMOR is about. When we lose our sense of humor, that's when the bad fundamentalist crap starts coming in. |

MLK is not a black day. It's MLK day. Can't you accept the fact that Martin Luther King was one of greatest men i our time? Anyways, we celebrate Washington's birthday (along with a few other presidents) and they were white. Does that make it a white's day? |

God damn, the US Government recognizes this day to honor someone who fought for civil rights, and you guys are fighting over trivial bulls*** like this?Use common sense. I am white and my fiancee is Samoan so needless to say our children are mixed. We kid around too. All I am saying is why is it ok for this man to be all "I checked the African American box" so he gets to take the day off because he feels its his right. I just don't find that funny. which is MY opinion, so get over it. |

@ larajunkyUh, I could care less if they made fun of a white person due to.."white people" day. Some of us don't care what race someone is...and we don't get bothered by people making fun. My brother-in-law is black, and of course my nephew is mixed...we pick on each other about stuff all the time with no hurt feelings. |
