Monday, April 23, 2007 4:08:02 PM The message is self-contradictory, in one sense, and very powerful in another. We are nothing more than a speck of a dust, an atom in the ocean. Therefore we should either seek as much happiness as is possible before our eventual oblivion. Or We should stick to what we believe is right and important, because it is the only thing worth living for, more important than anything else. Yet we must

Saturday, April 21, 2007 11:52:50 PM "At any rate, I've never had a problem with feeling insignificant because I understand that my significance is relative to my perception. I am important within my own little sphere of influence, what exactly does anything outside of it matter?" thats exactly how i feel about it... well, now it is, at least! "I think this video tought us more than we can learn in 1 years" that depends on what youre willing to learn, and how much of it, really. |

Saturday, April 21, 2007 11:22:05 PM Our minds are probably just as big as the universe itself cos its proven that it doesn't have any limitations. And phoenixphata, your own little sphere wouldn't have any influences in the first place if it hadn't been influenced itself by the outside world. |

Saturday, April 21, 2007 10:50:30 PM Meh. Moving, powerful, blah. I've heard it all before. It doesn't make me want to go outside and plant a tree or anything. Nicely put together, though. |

Saturday, April 21, 2007 4:03:07 PM That was really good. It's nice that something still reminds us that the universe doesn't revolve around us. |

Saturday, April 21, 2007 3:32:23 PM I have great respect for Carl Sagan, but the irony is that the very technology that allowed us to take the famous "Blue dot" photo was derived from war. The saturn V rocket is the direct descendant of the V2 rocket from WWII. The encoding machines from WWII such as the enigma machine started the path to computers. Its sad but true. |

Saturday, April 21, 2007 12:52:17 PM This particular video is too loud and noisy, and as such it doesn't give justice to the power and emotion of Carl's message. For a better video, see: http://www.milkandcookies.com/links/6008... |
