Vindicate....not sure how you think I'm doing drugs? This whole discussion Sabre and I were having was based on people doing drugs, THEN joining the military. Not doing drugs while IN the military. I did drugs when I was a teenager, not now. I take a random drug test at least once a month. If I was retarded enough to do drugs I wouldn't last very long. Next time you want to sit on your high horse and point fingers with your sarcasm get your facts straight. What a tard!

USMarine - Big props for being a marine. Though I do wonder what your superiors would say if they knew of your drug use.

Just get the feeling they wouldn't approve, and can't place why. Couldn't be because it's against federal law... no... not that at all.

Here's a thought... revolutionary too... how about, if you like pot and want to smoke it, move to Amsterdam. It's legal there. That way you get your pot, and people who don't like it don't have to deal with you in America. Seems simple to me. And from the laws they have there, seems a lot more tolerant and free than America is turning out to be. Just a thought. And since the law is on my side (for now), it works for me!

Sabre, don't worry about it man. I was having a bad day. Although, I'd like to point out that your research is based on the Army. The Marine Corps have a pretty strict drug waiver policy. Most people who want to be a Marine but can't, join the Army. Thats not an attack on the Army, their awesome too. It's just the truth. Over all, I agree I guess. There really are a lot of ex-drug users in the military. But, in their defense and my own....Good grades don't mean a thing when you can shoot someone from 500 yards out. One shot, one kill.

Actually I have heard several bands explain that energy in a similar way.

Obviously you didn't get the point..and the research does equal a lot. Fred was an honor student in highschool, as was I..so I obviously don't think idiots join.

The research means that out of 400,000 soldiers..approx. 100,000! of them were drug users..to me..that's a lot.

This wasn't an attack on you, just wanted to say it can screw up a lot of peeps lives. If it's by choice even when you had other options I applaude you.

you know what Nirvana was not influencial or very talented at all. they were an average grunge band that came out of nowhere that high brainless teenagers could relate their pooty lives to. sorry just all their songs sound the same and i can;t stand Curt Cobains voice. this interview didnt even look like they were stoned

i like when he starts talking about the trees and then kurt starts starring into space. and my favorite part is, "break into a break steal the car radio- sell food stamps- pawn it hahaha learn to play pool real well"

Sabre200000: Drugs are bad I know. I don't think I understand your point though. Do you think the military is easy? Do you mean a lot as in your opinion? Or a lot as in "1 of 4 drugs users join the military as a result?” (Based on research).
And what do you mean by thats ALL they had left? You must think that war fighting is for stupid and uneducated people who run out of options so why not join the military. Tell Chesty Puller that. Tell the mortar men that when they land a round the size of a small football 2000 meters away in the dark within 15 feet of their target, while under fire taking into account wind, weather and their surroundings etc and as a result save Freds life. In case you missed the purpose of that, it takes a little brain power (to say the least) to figure out where that round will land. What about the guy who graduated OCS top of his class? Or the young Marine who leads 3 of his friends into battle. I'd give my life for any of them. Ignorance is bliss

very nice.. very nice. good music, AND they have great interviews. see, this is why pot should be legal.. instead of puking and being an arsehole and driving drunk, you could be happy and gleeful and have some REALLY intelligent conversations.

...waiting to get yelled at =)

^^"I was a pot head for years, yet some how I'm still ok enough to be a Marine and defend our freedom? Go figure"

Don't take this the wrong way because I fully support our troops, in fact my good friend Fred is stationed in Hawaii, but I agree with the go figure...a lot of drug users have to turn to the military because they made bad choices...and well that's all they had left...hmmmm

that clip bores me

but i still like their music
