i thought a perfect number was where the sum of its factors was equal to itself (6=3+2+1; 28=14+7+4+2+1)so far the highest perfect number that fits here is http://calendarhome.com/prime/perfect4.h... because it is way too much for the 1K character limit.... |

To illustrate Spirithound's explanation, 6 is a perfect number because the numbers that it can be divided by excluding itself - 1, 2, and 3, but NOT 6 - add up to 6. The Ancient Greeks are recorded as being the first to discover this. So far thousands more have been found - one with tens of thousands of digits - but none smaller than 6. |
