I always thought that if he'd lived longer, he would have really given Van Halen a "run for his money"...Classically trained, very technical...the solo from "Revelation (Mother Earth)" is definitely my fav...shame I couldn't find a decent vid of it.

Personally, I like a lot of different music. I certainly wouldn't argue that there isn't talent today. Even electronic music can take skill, a sense of rhythm and a good ear for pitch/harmonics/melody.

Whether I'm tapping keys on synths, hitting buttons or turning dials on sequencers in time, strumming strings on a guitar, scratching vinyl, or drumming on..just about anything...it's not all that different in a way.

They just don't make music like this any more. Many of the so-called musicians of today have very little, if any, actual musical talent.
