"OBAMA invaded and overthrew the government of Libya"

Invaded? As far as I know the US military had not a boot on the ground during that conflict. They provided logistic support and some air/naval cover for a largely Anglo-French operation.

Democracy has been bought by runaway robber-capitalism, deal with it.

Democracy has been bought by runaway robber-CRONYISM, deal with it.

There, I fixed it.

What we're seeing has nothing at all to do with capitalism. Capitalism means FREE markets, not markets that are regulated and controlled by corrupt politicians and bureaucrats who have been bought and paid for by corporate cronies.

This is the result of letting our republic degenerate into a democracy.

Many hundreds are dead in Libya in the past few days: radical Islamist groups are overpowering government forces and capturing their equipment...

BUT Obama isn't sending Kerry to DEMAND a cease-fire, is he?
Nor anything else. Obama broke it, but refuses to fix it. He's just letting the Jihadist Radicals have yet ANOTHER victory...

So Gaza and Libya and Egypt ALL have about equal numbers of dead civilians, recently, BUT ONLY ONE makes the news... I wonder why...

@greekhop

Classic divide and conquer strategy, and it works so, so effectively.

You pretty much know what they will say and believe before they even say it. Brilliantly constructed, I must admit (this is as a citizen of the US).

@holygod: Your selective memory seems to have forgotten that OBAMA invaded and overthrew the government of Libya, then abandoned it to face RADICAL ISLAMIC TERRORISTS GROUPS alone.

"Smart Diplomacy"!

@WhoDat: Canada has no army, and is a TINY nation. We've still been as active as we can, and have ALWAYS been a strong backer of any NATO or UN actions.

You seem highly "selective" in your World Police roles, only wishing to do the easy jobs, not those that are difficult. That would be the 'definition' of Obama's Foreign Policy. Period.

@elkingo: At least your idea is EQUAL! Obama (and @WhoDat) is scattered all over the place!!
Invade here!
Do NOTHING there!
Send diplomats!
Threaten invasion!
Grant flexibility (so Russia can invade it's neighbors).
& etc. Randomness is NOT a good idea...

Cmon guys, how old are you, 12?

For those with no long term memory, let me explain how it goes in democracies:

1.
The people vote for some tool/puppet controlled by the same people who control the media and banks.

2.
After a few years it becomes obvious that he is a lying, staus quo perpetuating, warmongering disaster for humanity. Everyone ends up hating the dude (these memories will fade and he will be hailed as a heroic leader within 5-10 years)

3.
Repeat at next election.

It always funny to see Americans fighting on here when to the outside world its obvious that its like trying to choose between two turds in a sewer. Same goes for our politicians, they are obviously useless when viewed from the outside, but they seem like the only sane choices around when viewed from within the propaganda bubble in each respective country.

Democracy has been bought by runaway robber-capitalism, deal with it.

yep, buyer's remorse for sure. But, they really can not complain, they saw what the first 4 years were like, but apparently did not think it would be 4 more dreadful years to come! LOL

well what are ya gonna do? The pendulum has swung so far into moonbat leftie socialist lala land, that the ONLY solution is a republican house, senate, AND president. Even then, it will take years to recover from this debacle

Okay, CJ, I see how it is. Dema are completely at fault, Republicans are just humble servants trying to a good job, totally willing to compromise, and never drmand all or nothing. Got it. Peace, Brother. I'm out.

SmagBoy: "Reid (and the Senate) have sent many, many, many offers back." With the caveat, give us all we want or nothing at all. That's not an "offer", that's not compromise, that's subverting the legislative process.

At least Clinton was willing to negotiate, Obama pays it lip service but hasn't been willing to compromise anywhere.

As I said before, Reid could take any of the budgets that have been sitting on the senate table for years and get one voted on within weeks. He simply won't let it happen and chance that Obama would have to be on record for vetoing it.

Majority of Americans?? I'm in my 60's and have NEVER been polled in my life and I don't know anyone who has either. Mitt Romney was and still is the worst possible choice for any office including dog catcher, (my humble apologies to the dog catcher.) Obama has tried to do some good but not much. Congress has made it their agenda to vote down anything he does, so there that little deal as well. So....pretty much all politicians, Democrat and Republican are rotten, self centered, money grabbers. They are not there to represent as what they were elected to do, but are there to get rich. I say we charge them all with treason.
Romney, what a douche.

Or, hey, said another way, how about this: who is it that you give credit for Clinton's 6 of 8 balanced budgets? Popular Republican lore is that it was all Gingrich. That Speak Gingrich, the awesome man that he was, balanced the budget and forced Clinton's hand. See how *that* doesn't jive with what you're saying about Reid? How could Gingich, the Speaker of the House, be solely responsible for keeping Clinton's crazy liberal spending in check and forced him to sign balanced budgets and yet now it's Reid's fault for no budget? Seems a double standard to me.

CJ, I have to disagree with you. Reid (and the Senate) have sent many, many, many offers back. It's been all over the news--you know, the whole standoff with Paul Ryan, etc. As I say, I'm not blaming Republicans wholly. But surely you remember all of the negotiations hosted by the White House, how at the last minute, when all was hammered out, Boehner had to acquiesce to the tea party faction even though everything was settled and a budget was all but signed? So, both sides have made offers, and some even reasonable, but for one reason or another, they've been scuttled.

To put it all on Obama or Reid is simply erroneous. Sure, it looks good since the Senate is the final step prior to the president, but informed voters know better than that. There's obvious nuance that isn't just black and white, us versus them. Both sides are to blame.

Smagboy: "..the House won't consider any budgets the Senate sent back."

That's because the Senate hasn't sent any back, not even to committee (where differences are normally hammered out). Reid simply doesn't want a full budget, he'd rather have these shutdowns then blame them on the Republicans.

It's easy, follow the chain of command, Reid controls the Senate with an iron fist and takes his orders from Obama. A budget could be hammered out within a week or two, there are several versions sitting on the senate table, for years now, and Reid won't let any of them go up for a vote. Without a budget, it allows Obama to issue executive control through emergency measures. Which is just the way he wants it.

CrakrJak: I fully understand the budget process. Read my post again. It says that the House won't consider any budgets the Senate sent back. The House makes a budget proposal, so does the Senate. Independent of the House. Read up on it. Then, you're right, the House sends theirs to the Senate, the Senate tries to reconcile the two, sends *that* to the House budget committee for up or down and then and only then, once both committees agree, does it go up for review in the whole House and then Senate. It's a long, arduous process. And blaming one house or the other, or one party or the other for not filing one is wrong. I was joking saying it's only Republicans. It's certainly not. But it's also certainly not only Dems, either. At all.

5Cats, they aren't *our* dead bodies. If you care so much about them, agitate *your* government to spend money and resources and lives on those ant hills.

@barry9: I agree. I lean liberal, for sure, but I am more than willing to list (and have done so) many of Obama's mistakes (GITMO, the roll out of the ACA, VA, to name a few recent and ongoing ones), and to give W credit where it was earned (in fact, I've said several times here I only blame him for a few, specific things), but nuanced opinions, even if they're held, do seem to get drowned out here. For me, by far the most sacred issue there is is equal rights for all citizens, with no discrimination based on gender, color, religion, sexual orientation. I can't even go an hour without seeing attacks on even that, the most basic American tenet. I suppose that's by design, though--big donors and politicians wouldn't make nearly as much money without the hate from both sides.

HolyGod - yeah, this is true.

We just spend a butt ton of money in areas with troops that is unnecessary.

I feel like we should monitor areas, and aide allies. But the notion of keeping large scale troops deployed is draining us (US - heh).

"I say bring ALL of our troops home. Fuq em. Let em sort theirselves out."

While I totally agree with you, keep in mind that america probably wouldn't exist if the french had just minded their own business and let us "sort it out ourselves".

SmagBoy: Not correct at all. Budgets originate in the House of Reps, NOT the Senate. Reid won't even let House budgets come up for debate or brought to committee because that would bring them up to be scheduled for a vote. And Boehner being Obama's veto? What are you, stoned right now? because that made no sense at all.

@5Cats - Fine, I can say the same about your gov't. Where the f*ck has Canada been? If Obama's "INACTIONS" are the reason for the world's problems then Canada's inaction puts the blame on you as well. You can add every other country who hasn't done anything to that list as well which would make it a pretty long f*cking list.

Newsflash, the majority of American people are against our gov't acting as "Team America: World Police." As the leader of the country Obama's doing exactly what the people want, stay the f*ck out of it because it's not our problem.

"Gallup doesn't call cell phones. Liberals don't own land lines. These polls are always skewed right."

Hahaha. That's interesting. Sounds like it is probably true.

Unfortunately, No.

From Gallup's site:

"Gallup includes cellphones in each national Gallup poll. Gallup has been including cellphone-only households in all national telephone Gallup polls since January 2008. Further, cellphone-only households are now as likely to fall into national Gallup polls samples as those living in traditional landline households."

Well I wish Romney ran a better campaign. He had Obama down during the first debate and just let it go.
