@pazerlenis, yeah maybe.. I didn't read it like that initially, but you may be right... it makes a little more sense.

While some of these see... "embellished"? Most are quite interesting!

I remember the "movement" to add "Bush Lied People Died" to his Wiki page... or whatever they wanted to change... not everything on Wiki is "true" eh?
It's a good place to start... but might be far from "the whole truth" for various reasons.

I would expect that most of the people in the Witness Protection Program are not in any real immediate threat if they went home. Either the people who have reason for revenge are caught, dead, or too slow to react. I mean, you pop up at a bar you used to visit, have a few, slip out before any response can be mobilized. It takes several hours or days, even weeks, to arrange a hit when you're not on a war footing. It's just that, if they continued living in their old hometown, the weeks would catch up with them. No one is actively looking for the turncoat; it's a matter of a fortuitous opportunity.

I thought the witness protection one was more specific. I think they mean no one has "hacked" the program itself and found the location of criminals that way (by hacked I mean accessing police computers, using corrupt cops, etc.) I didn't take it to mean WP persons were never "discovered" in other ways (caught contacting family & friends, going back home, etc.)

I'm really glad to hear the US Witness protection program fact. The movies always make them look like bumbling idiots. But 8500+ is a stellar record.

The witness protection one is interesting...I'd have thought they'd have lost quite a few over the years, just from some of them not being able to keep from going back to old haunts/friends.

The Kennedy one...doesn't surprise me, but it does disappoint me.

I have never spent more than 10$ on a cable and doubt I ever will.
