Wednesday, April 27, 2005 2:36:43 PM Not very funny, and this is coming from someone who typically likes geeky/nerdy jokes and thinks "sucks to your assmar!" is a hilarious comeback. Most of them aren't even sentences, they're sentence fragments or simply people with last names that serve as verbs. Jadedmom, I agree, the "sticking a fork in my leg" comment is gold. |

Wednesday, April 27, 2005 11:10:43 AM Nothing says it better: "Wow. I don’t mean to be rude – but I’m going to be. With a few honourable exceptions these are some of the lamest attempts at wit i’ve ever seen. Some depend so clumsily on mispronounciations, tenuous and laboured puns, parentheses, additions and explanations that any cleverness has been drained right out. Many aren’t sentences. Some aren’t even peoples’ names, dammit. A lot have completely missed the point or don’t even make sense. Most are so utterly dull and weak they would shame Ned Flanders. If we’re ever (God forbid) at the same dinner party, you’ll recognise me: I’ll be the one drinking heavily and jabbing forks in my leg every time you speak. I slap your mothers and so does Trigger." |
