Who said I wanted to ban all guns McGovern? Read my first comment in this forum. Like most advocating stricter gun control, it's just that: I want to see better training, testing, and licensing. I'll forgive your transgression tho, as all too many are confused about the notion of gun control...

An example of a carry state with a higher homicide rate? Oklahoma! Their intentonal homicide rate was up to 5.7 from 5.3

As for trying to change the subject to alcohol after telling someone you disagreed with to shut up...I guess I've read your tone differently.

As I said in the beginning tho, I agree this poster is a weak argument....it takes a page out of your book.

But the book doesn't kill people, and they haven't banned alcohol, they've band a book with a picture of alcohol.

Books kill less people than guns.

Read my facts below and show me where it is banned right now. If I put up a picture of the bible or mein kampf I bet we'd hear some different opinions abut books. Haven't even you blamed religion for deaths?

I find it ironic when people argue this picture is a poor example and comparison, and then make poor comparisons themselves to alcohol related issues. Your hypocrisy only gives your opposition ammunition.

And what hypocrisy would that be I'm not the one preacing to ban either. I'm the one showing you what you sound like dictating what people can and can't have for "safety" with an example of something actually banned for that reason.

You want a pat on the back when crime rates go slightly down in a carry state, but cry foul if someone points out one in which they increased

And we're yet to see this example.

You want a pat on the back when crime rates go slightly down in a carry state, but cry foul if someone points out one in which they increased. And if somebody points out that DC has seen roughly a 75% drop in homicide rate over the past ten years...

One is explicitly constitutionally protected and the other isn't. However, are they saying firearms are allowed in schools? Which one? I'd like to start sending my kids there so they won't be completely unprotected fish in a barrel like at every other school I've ever heard of.

@MrOrange: You DID notice that my comment was directed at @CreamK?
That I was, in fact, being sardonic???
No? Over your head again?
Typical.

Are you attempting to DENY that Little Red Riding Hood contains Violence, Murder and Alcohol? Revisionism much? Sheesh!!

Fish + barrel = @MrOrange...

How many shootings did you see?

Two weeks. Looks like you think I have something against people frome the US. I don't. I love the US

It seems many of you do though...fair enough!

I just can't see how so much tolerance for guns can be considered ok.

Do you realize contrary to popular belief and what news likes to portray we do have laws for them. There's a lot of factors at work with why people kill people when you start blaming an object you start ignoring the actual problems and have a temporary solution.

"in the event of a school shooting." ... which will happen because lunatics can find guns almost everywhere in the US

Stop overloading my logic circuits! Nice try lefties, but the gun would keep both kids alive in the hands of a trained adult in the event of a school shooting. You take guns away from the responsible legal folks then there is nothing to stop the lunatic who would acquire weapons by any means necessary. Sorry, the lunatics, criminals, and evil folks don't actually abide by all your gun control laws, go figure! I know it's a shock to you lefties, but some nifty sign that says "No guns oon premises" never stopped anyone from committing an armed crime.

CreamK-The one who can't see what the hell is wrong in those pictures need to take a deep hard look at your values.

We see exactly what is wrong in those pictures: It's called 'False Equivalency'.

Also is demonstrated that Moms Demand Action are unable to make a LOGICAL argument. (After all, it's all about the 'feels'.)

Most rational people are not stupid enough to fall for this false equivalency just because they put cute, innocent looking kids in the picture. (and remember, it was the Moms Demand Action that put that rifle in a child's hands...rational people would not do so)

As for why Europe cares, maybe it's because they're a little nervous...The US does own roughly half of all the worlds guns.

Hmmm take at look at the countries here and what continent they're in.....

Weren't some Eurotwats here going on about how great Finland is not too long ago seems like they want to pick and choose what to see to fit their agenda huh?

Yeah, we all know how well criminals follow the law. Restricting or banning guns will only affect those who obey the law, not the idiot criminals who go on shooting sprees.

Besides, no law or government has the the authority to take my natural right to defend myself and the ones I love. The only people who need to fear my firearms are those who intend to do me harm.
