I agree with most of these comments, except the shelter thing is obviously not aimed at people in hot climates. I bet the original army reel would have been more enlightening.

You know Jake, I never did get that in the movie. If they have the technology to remove impurities from urine leaving basically... well, water, then why couldn't they build one to filter the water they lived on?
I mean... it is a water WORLD, right? Did I miss something?

Aren't many of these common sense? Besides, anyone who has ever been in the military can tell you about the hydration and shelter priorities. And only people who watch Bear Gryll's think drinking your own urine will save you from dehydration (it might save your ass temporarily in a pinch - but it won't do jack for heat stroke).

From someone who was in a survival situation (and now does occasional I nearly died shows on tv ;) )
The water one should be clearer. If you're having to fill up on water and leave the water source. If you down as much water as you can when you're there. You can flush your system of essential salts etc. So drink as much as you need, but don't drink as much as you can which was a mistake i made.
