The patients wrapped in wet blankets is pretty freaky. Could you imagine being bound like that for being "insane", which back then could be just about anything.

Whirlygirl, I suspect many of our current practices will be bizarre.... The prolific drug prescribing, chiropractors & chemotherapy come to mind.
