Over time we have created this vast network of machines with lifetimes of knowledge covering our best music, films, written and spoken word, they hold our secrets and in a lot of ways are better than we are. Who isn't to say that an early iteration did the same with us. No, not God. Put a little thought into it. And no, this would not then make them God. You could argue by definition they could be considered a God but not the God you people get so flustered over today. Have I covered all the religious bases? :)

what makes this really worrying is it comes right on the heels of the announcement of autonomous attack drones who'll be given the ability to choose whether to kill or not.
