They will be able to take pictures, its just that they are so close to the surface, moving at such high speeds that it's pointless to do so. Any photograph would just come out streaky and without any discernible features whatsoever. It's like trying to photograph a painting, while moving past it at 300 km/h at a distance of less than a meter.

It's probably a good idea to read an article before submitting it.

NASA can't take pictures because they don't have the license to cover the Unreal Tournament events.

@Andrew155 - Nothing strange about monoliths on the moon, I'd expect them. We have them on earth, they are old volcanic plugs.

Apparently the submitter didn't bother to read the article, you know, where the reason for not taking the picture(which they've done before-shown in the article)is explained. The dumbass is high with this one.

im concerned this reckless buzzing may kick off an intergalactic war with the residents of phobos. What right do WE have to buzz their moon.

Seriously?

The BS is that @drawman must be running out of conspiracies to rant about so he is now inventing them.

It's not NASA, but that's irrelevant to the topic, really.

This is the only thing I can think of, there is a supposed monolith on the moon. I think I've even heard Buzz Aldrin talk about this monolith. Make of it what you will.
