I know that I do MUCH better at math than I do in language.. I do worse on the verbal part of the SAT than on the math part.

It's not about one sex being better than the other, it's about being different. A 1% genetic difference is pretty big.

The older you get, the more you realize that all this really doesn't ammount to much. It's all about being happy with someone, and with yourself. I like the fact that women are so different. It's a challenge. They're full of hidden mysteries and secret treasures, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Just ask my girlfriend.

I did read it... and Superking is right: our genes dictate which hormones our body makes. Even so, as far as hormone exposure in the woumb goes, they'd need to follow girls who were born with 2 brothers (triplets) and then they were all adopted sepertely, and raised without sexual bias, and see how she tests when she's 12. I highly doubt any such extensive studies have been done.

Hormones are made from proteins that are made from.. . you guessed it (hopefully)! Genes! Genetic and chemical differences are one and the same. This article says the same old tired story... women are supposedly better at cross-communicating in their brain (due to a better structured corpus collosum) and men are better at logical and theoretical reasoning. Either way, a stupid man is way dumber than a smart woman, so who gives a poo anyway? Any man that reads that and thinks he's better than women is probably a pretty dumb man. Same goes for women who think vice versa.

If you read the article, it says it's actually in the genes and not the hormones as much as was previously throught, especially for brain development.

Can anyone say, NO $h!t? Men and women are intrinsically different. I hate to form bias one way or another, and say that any one person can’t do anything they set their mind to. At the same time, ppl set their mind to different tasks partially based on their gender, whether they’re conscious of it or not. I definitely think it’s all in the hormones. Chemicals rule what, when, and how our brains and bodies do things… and male and female bodies are designed to have different amounts of different chemicals. Men usually aren’t (hey, I have heard of it happening) breast feeding their children, and women usually aren’t as good at weight lifting (many who are take artificial hormones, tricking their body into doing something it wouldn’t naturally). It’s just what our bodies are built for, way back when humans branched off in the African wilderness.

Differences are so prevelent in other animal species... I don't see why anyone would thi
