I found the "fake" spiderman quote. It's referenced to New Warriors Vol 1 33.

"Originally, this line was part of the narration, not spoken by Uncle Ben." I've got to try to remember that. That's a tough line to remember though.

DuckBoy: Actually if your quoting the original movie it came from, then yes it's a misquote. But since Blazing Saddles is a much more famous, and popular, movie, the quote from there is correct.

It's a correct quote from a movie that misquoted another movie.

"Badges? We don't need no stinkin' badges!" is a misquote as well.

"You know nothing, Jon Snow!" Just thought I'd throw that out there.

they listed with great power comes great responsibility as quote from the movie spiderman. am i the only one who thinks that is retarded? spiderman and that quote were around way before the movie. the quote is associated with spiderman. not just the spiderman movie. this makes me mad. spiderman is more than just a bunch of movies that are kind of ok at first glance and then you realize how awful they are. they first one is pretty good. willem dafoe made a great green goblin.

I've gotten all of these wrong except the ghost busters and lord of the rings ones.. and why do I keep thinking "legend of the red dragon" every time I see that movie..

When the Empire scene was being filmed the actor was told he says "I killed your father." Only Mark was told the real thing. But the actor who played Vader said he would have done it in a completely different way if he knew what it was really.

But is funny that even a Star wars geek like me never realized that everyone is wrong who says the line. With "Dammit Jim" the dammit is placed in the early Star Trek movies, but not in the TV show.

And what surprised me most on Vader's line: the emphasis is on 'am', not on 'I'.

Also:
Those winged orange-y creatures flitting their way to Mexico are "Flutterbyes" not Butterflies, as otherwise reported. Just so ya know.

True enough @Gerry1! So many quotes worth remembering? So many badly MIS-remembered lines...

<Love of> money is the root of all evil.
(Some versions say 'lust for')

#2 Who says it in the Spiderman Comic book? That would be more "accurate" than a film.

I knew the Oliver Twist one...

@Runemang is correct on the Casablanca one...

@Mr.Peabody: Tina Fey TOTALLY DID say that! It's an accurate quotation... of her...

Since we are not sticking strictly to movies:
"I can see Russia from my house!"

I always knew the Casablanca was a misquote but I never heard of it as a misquote of ILSA, but a misquote of Rick:

Rick: You know what I want to hear.

Sam: [lying] No, I don't.

Rick: You played it for her, you can play it for me!

Sam: [lying] Well, I don't think I can remember...

Rick: If she can stand it, I can! Play it!

Oh, and I'm not so sure most of these lines are misquoted, so much as paraphrased.

Yeah, I'd have to go back and watch each epi- and I'm not gonna do that- but I do believe Bones used the word 'Dammit'.

Those were Ilsa's lines in Casablanca. These are Rick's lines: "You played it for her, you can play it for me! If she can stand it, I can! Play it!"
