Man I should concentrate on other things, but I just remembered the body switch episode ... Crichton in Aeryn Sun's body, jiggling it away ...

LemonCurry, it was definitely original -- a show about ideas. Tormented Space, a living ship that gives birth to another ship, Leviathan scavengers, the whole Scorpius/wormhole subplot, etc. It just kept coming.

Jake, I agree 100% with you. Of course I was a big fan of Star Wars when I was little and loved Star Trek (I really did warm to TNG), but Farscape was just so different, creative and original. What strange and bizarre universe, threatening and funny at the same time. Lol, and honestly, an alien who farts helium when he gets nervous ... can it get better than that?!

Hey, LemonCurry, glad you enjoyed it. At the risk of hammering home a point, FARSCAPE was brilliant on so many levels. And it had a strong following. The FARSCAPE universe could have sustained great stories for many years more.

And the powers that be even had the audacity to end season four on a "To Be Continued." Insult to injury. I guess we have to at least be glad that they tied up all the threads with "The Peacekeeper Wars." But, hell, if they could have revived the sets for a mini-series, they could have done a few more seasons!

Personally, I thought FARSCAPE was the best of the lot.

Farscape post ... and only 8 comments, that make me sad.

Thanks for posting, Jake!

I watched it on Hulu (free), and they ended the first season with Crichton floating free in space about to suffocate. I suppose he made it. I'm still waiting for season 2 to hit the free side.

Damn, Gigi Edgley is so smokin' hot!

One of my favorite shows of all time. It used to come on in reruns on a local channel at 2:30 am on Thursdays in my area, and I was late for work every Friday just to watch it. This was before DVR.

The universe depicted in Farscape was the most amazing in televised (or movie) sci-fi. It had both the retro feel of classic Space Opera, but also a surreal, experimental side that had you doing double-takes (remember the 'cartoon' episode?). Brilliant writing, great effects, solid characters ... Farscape had it all. Hell, Rygel had more personality than many live actors. And Chiana? Come on!
