Awesome job dad. Your little guy will remember the consideration and love you show him throughout his life. You will most likely be payed back twice over in return.

When he arrives, tell his dad "You're the second angry bird to come tonight."

@xxredxx, my brother is epileptic and he is only occasionally photosensitive, though he does his best to avoid strobing lights and the such, just in case. He games extensively, but would avoid the disco, for example. His seizures tend to come out of nowhere, and more so when he is overly tired. It's a frightening thing to live with. It has made life very hard for him these last couple of years, and it kills me to see him have to go through that. Bravo to this dad for wanting to give his son a more normal life.

I love playing "parent of the year" roulette on this site. You never know when you click on it whether you are going to get a story like this or a picture of a guy giving his baby a bong hit while he hold s glock in his other hand. I definitely prefer this type, although the other ones are kinda funny.

My daughter just turned 9 and ever since she was big enough to go trick or treating we have had to of course carry the bag and let the houses know we're getting it for her.

My oldest son and I generally would take turns and since we do the same neighborhoods every year it works out pretty good but you'll usually get one or two people that look at you like you're a liar.

It's now passed on to my middle son since the oldest ran away to college so we'll see how things go this year. I greatly applaud Fletcher's dad for this. It's not easy with a child that has any form of a special need when it comes to things like holidays.

What a world we live in. A father does what a parent is supposed to do and we're all just amazed and awed by him.

Still, he is a great dad

I guess that kind of makes up for him naming his kid Fletcher.

@kvetcher: I hope so! Community is a wonderful thing! If 100 neighbors are aware of Fletcher's difficulties? That cannot be a bad thing.

Again: Bless this Dad, and all the neighbors who co-operated!

@stk5m: And bless YOUR heart too!

Also, I suppose every year from now on, neighbours will know to get in the usual candy for Halloween, and a little toy for Fletcher. (Dad certainly shouldn't have to do it each time.)

@xxredxx Photosensitive epilepsy is quite uncommon, or so my neurologist would have me believe...

Noe THAT is a good Dad!

The diet that kid is on is STRICT! But apparently it works really well, so good for them.

@xxredxx: I think he has a different kind of epilepsy... much more severe, different causes & etc. I ain't no expert though Just as anyone on IAB! I know nothing!!

Wouldn't the Halloween decorations (blinky/strobe lights) put him into an epileptic seizure?...

No matter what I do in life, I don't think I could ever live up to that dad's level. All my props to him and Fletcher.

Yep, he rocks. That is what every parent should strive for in life.

@basketcase - Whether that was sarcasm or not, you are a major tool. The king of all tools. You should have your dick chopped off and shoved up your ass until it comes out your mouth. Yes, I mean it. You make the biggest jackass on the planet look like a nice guy.
