If the soldier can see sense, why can't the rest of you? The cashier is an American who happens to be muslim. Should we hate all Germans or Japanese because of WW2?

This video was taken in my hometown. (Kingston)

This brought me a great deal of pride and a piece of home, as I'm currently stationed in GA.

It is from a show called: What Would You Do?

The cashier and the customer are actors. They create a 'scene' and watch how people respond to various uncomfortable situations. None of the people responding are actors, including the soldier. These are their real reactions.

We're told by liberals we have to respect ALL cultures.

Why? Why would I respect a culture that keeps half their population in slavery? A womans role is not much differant than a slave in muslim cultures. Some are a bit more liberal, but most are medieval in their attitutes. Gays are killed, non-virgins are killed. Any religion not theirs... killed. Punishments less than death are brutal.

No, I do not respect that culture. And if you do we indeed live in different worlds.

Islam is a religion and Arab is an ethnicity; no races were harmed in the making of this film.

Soldier analogy doesn't hold up. Yes, there have been soldiers who'd killed innocents...but as you point out they were found out and tired. My point is the muslim community doesn't punish them. they reward, assist, or just silently approve.

patchouly, I see what you're saying, but it's not the same. Yes a small group did the work, but they had the support of a large community. They couldn't do it on their own. They had to get here, fund it, be supported while here etc etc etc. As for Westboro, we don't nurture and aid them. We vocally oppose them so it's not a fair comparison is it.

Sorry folks, but I've only had limited contact with muslims, but none of them would condemn any muslim acts of terror. And none of them would have allowed me to even live if given their way, a few told me so.

to be continued

This video can tell you one thing - soldiers like that aren't gonna be the ones to turn on us when the state of emergency is enacted.

Gerry what kind of world do you live in? do you really believe that every other member of a subclassification of humanity is somehow responsible for the actions of individuals also in that subclassification? Or is this a standard you are holding only some subclassifications to?

Do you go around feeling some kind of moral responsibility to crimes males commit? To crimes gay people commit? Americans? Do you apologize and condemn these stranger's actions? It really makes no sense to hold that position.

The internet is roughly 92% hate. That's why Skynet wants to kill everyone in the future.

Gerry1of1, we've had some Marines over in the sand charged with and found guilty of killing innocent civilians, including women and children. We've learned of horrific atrocities regarding prisoners in Abu Ghraib. Why didn't we American all protest that abhorrent behavior? Why have some of those Marines gotten less than life sentences? Is it, perhaps, that we don't judge the actions of a few radical idiots as indicative of the overwhelming masses of people they claim to represent? There are about 1.6B Muslims in the world. Several hundred thousand in the US alone. So the actions of a few hundred people in the world color your views of billions?

"Hate crimes against muslims". I think they've given us plenty of reason to, if not hate, at least distrust them."

That's the problem though (And I say this to you with the utmost respect, Gerry). A VERY small cell of Muslims did something bad and the millions of others are having to pay for it. It's not right. Plus, it's been taken to the Nth degree and has encompassed all Muslims, Hindus, Sunnis etc. etc.. It's akin to saying you should hate all Caucasians because the Westboro Baptist Church are a bunch of asshats.

I know several Muslim families and they are wonderful people. They share food, are humble and gracious. Fantastic people who now have to live in fear everyday because of the hatred of others. Their children are picked on at school. They have trouble getting jobs. It's terrible.

"Hate crimes against muslims". I think they've given us plenty of reason to, if not hate, at least distrust them. If they majority of muslims are the peace-loving souls the media tells they are why aren't they slapping down the bad-muslims instead of hiding them inside their own communities and mosques?

I you support the bad guy, you're an accessory to his crimes even if you're one of the "peaceful ones".

But no, I wouldn't harass anyone publicly like that. It's bad manners.
