madduck i support equality, and this was the genuine path of feminism,i agree with that. What i say is that today many so called feminists just shows to "hate" men and confuses the equality with the will of being putted on a higer step.

There seems to be this "perpetual victim" air about a lot of feminists. I raise my Daughter to be strong and independent. She is not a victim. She is amazing. She can do anything she wants. I teach her about science, math, car repairs, anything I would teach her if she was a boy. She is still a girl. She has a "peptobismol pink" room and loves "My Little Pony". But she also knows how to change a car tire (in theory for now) and can talk in length about physics, biology etc. etc.

I agree with fighting for equality, but not by crying "victim"; at least not in this day and age.

As an aside though...we do need to remember that this applies to our society. There are still societies in this World where Woman are terribly oppressed. However, that has nothing to do with the intent of this cartoon.

In no way am I against equality between men and women. We live in an era where it's often easier for a woman to get a job and consequently, you are seeing a lot more "stay at home Dads". So here, in North America, we have moved beyond that being an issue.

The cartoon is stating that, no matter how women dress, they will be judged poorly. The point a lot of us are trying to make is that the same thing happens to guys. How we dress, what we do for a living, what sports team we like or dislike. It all results in some group disliking us. It's the way of the World. Suggesting that only Woman suffer from this is self-centred and egocentric.

@5Cats: Take anything of value out of your car, a very similar incident happened about a year ago on my street. Nothing happened the first time, then like two weeks later all the cars on the street, including mine, had their windows broken and their stuff stolen.

The police said that, the guy was probably testing to see who actually came out to check on their car and how long they took.

He took my GPS, my satellite radio, and a bunch of my coins. He was caught later that night and my stuff was returned, but I had to pay for my window, my insurance didn't even cover it. Guy was a deadbeat crackhead named Rick Edmonds.

LOL, I recently picked up a button off of the street corner that stated "Consent is such a turn on!" with a domain name to a gender equality advocacy site (they offer a lot of support for the trans community among other things)
After visiting the site, someone in my home spotted my internet activity and became concerned that I was becoming a man-hating feminist...'cause feminism is obviously fueled by the singular objective of transforming gullible, tender-hearted folk into gynocentric misandrists.

I felt like bashing my head against the wall.

I am a feminist- I do not hate men, or think I am either better or worse than they. What I hate is a system that automatically and often invisibly priviledges them, this is not the fault of men, or of women, ir is something we ALL inherited- and something we ALL need to get rid of so we can ALL- men and women- be free and equal. I am happy for to to criticise me for something which deserve criticism, but to criticise me- or any person because they do not fulfil your personal expectation based solely on gender is unfair. I do not 'expect' a man to provide for me or my children, I doubt any man worth his salt would expect me to care for him in the physical sense - unless we mutually and fairly agreed on this beforehand Things have changed a LOT in the last 100 years- but there is still much to be made better. A fair and equal society benefits everyone- male and female- so could we stop name calling and all think how we can improve matters. No I will not make you a freakin sandwich- make y

A lot of responses seem to fall into a few basic categories.

1. It doesn't happen. Shut up.

2. Bitches. Shut up.

3. Men have it worse, shut up bitch.

4. This doesn't make me happy and I am entitled to be happy. So shut up bitches.

5. There is no problem if I don't find it to be a problem. So shut up. Bitch.

I think that covers most of it.

@sutra46: I'm fine, I just live in a bad neighborhood! Someone "checked out" my car at about 11:30, and the alarm also went off at 2:30AM... grrr!

It went of again at 7:00 AM! But that was most likely a cat! Phew! The other two were "lift the door handle" alarms and not a kitty...

At least the glass is all intact! *knock on wood*

Wow. I can't believe the responses to this comic. I really haven't read a single smart response that properly diffuses this as accurate.

I see insults, put downs and hysterically enough, stereotypes, which is what point the comic makes in the first place. I even insults towards the spelling error which is grasping at straws. The only thoughtful response would be from RickS.

I think the most accurate reply to this would be if you find this comic offensive or upsetting towards any thing other than female stereotypes then it means YOU RELATE TO IT and that is disturbing.

"Lots of guys talking about what in a woman disgusts them on the internet."

What guys don't like and discuss, are the ultra authoritarian/controlling types, the ones who overdo plastic surgery and the sluts that try to baby trap guys into marriage. Thankfully, those types of women are small minorities.

The guys I know are more likely to comment on a women's sexy bod, no matter what profession she is in. And ladies, that's NOT sexism, that's art appreciation.

Piper, I think we all have a different image of what a 'feminist' is. Yours and many other men here see some militant men hatin woman who , in your mind, going after 'your' jobs.
Not so.
I speak for myself now, ' vive la difference'!! I don't want to be a man anymore than I wanna be a herring
Just a few post below certain someone is harping on about men dying in wars and coal mines? You can't have it both ways!
I though firmly belive that a woman should not be barred from any profession for her sex. That she should enjoy eqal pay for equal work.
Not one woman here has spouted any haterad or anger towards men, men on the other hand spewing venom about feminist. What are you so afraid of?
I lOVE men; decent, fair, informed men, who are not threatened by their, mothers, sisters, wives, daughters! There are are many. I treat them with respect and I get the same in return.

sutra46 "Feminism is about choice and egalitarianism".Certainly was born for that, but suddenly have lost the track. Feminism often is just a way to spout anger on men, this is the problem. This movement in may opinion must show the world that womens can give to society another point of view, the female point of view, with his valors and differences, but is just become a stupid fight on who have "more balls" between man and woman.Womans have transformed the ideals of that movement in a way to become like men and not to introduce a fresh innovation. Feminists "fight" men to become like men, they just want to replace the "man" in the society with "woman".

Like I said before. Not talking about the past but the very current situation women are in, everywhere in the world.
My cause, not teying to convince anyone or you!
You arevthough trying to convince me that no such issues are relavant.

Feminism is about choice and egalitarianism. Am glad you believe in both. Bye now.

This is so "strawman"!
As others have pointed out? WOMEN are their own worst enemies...

For every "negative" viewpoint BY men OF women? There's 4 BY women OF women.
It's a fact.

While I was typing this? Someone tried to break into my car... not joking, I am currently "highly stressed"...

Some people see this and see a problem. A problem with women's rights or men's rights.

I see a bunch of bitches. Men and women who like to pretend they are the victim of something...called life. No one cares about YOUR issues. Learn to deal with life or get out. Being a victim doesn't make anyone special.

CrakrJack you mean guys in real life or on the internet. Lots of guys talking about what in a woman disgusts them on the internet. Not, "I personally don't like that in a women," but full on, "poo makes me vomit."

Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Happens to men too, by the way.
