synaw-"isn't as racist as republicans"

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

Conservative definition of Racism: The practice of treating people of different races differently.
Liberal definition of Racism: The practice of treating people of different races the same.

And yet voter fraud is rampant in Mexico, marring elections for decades and even as recent as 2012. So..... your point about how useful a voted ID card is, is what?

this assumes that...
1.) the mexican system is an upgrade
2.) the mexican government isn't as racist as republicans

So I'll take a wild guess that maybe 1% of the population has one of these government issued voting cards? That would explain the state of their grand country.

@sonsglow: Fillibuster:
60-39 = NO filibuster.
59-39 = YES filibuster!

Geez Louise, a Canadian lecturing a YANK on how his own Government works? Sad sad sad.

Because Mr.Franken's electoral results were being legally recounted? His vote wasn't allowed. So the "Judge" let whole PILES of "newly found votes" into the mix, 90% of which were... FOR FRANKEN! All supplied by Democrat Party Workers... of course UNBIASED ones!

History: Pay attention or STFU.

@SleepyHallow: That pointing out of an idiot? The finger points at YOU at the moment...

As a Neocon, (Well, I'm more an Alex P. Keatoneocon) I'll answer this for you.

While as a Republican, I don't care what other countries do. Despite the opinion of some Supreme Court Justices, foreign law has no impact on the Constitution of the United States. However, I understand that some liberals love to bring up foreign law and talk about how glorious it is.

Likewise, I understand that you (read: some liberals) care what other countries think about us, and what they do culturally. Its a weapon I can use against you, when it does suit my cause. Even a broken clock is right twice a day, and in this case, Mexico is right.

What? You don't care what Mexico is doing? How about these European Countries? No? But you were just extolling their virtues when we were talking about Marijuana and Gay Marriage? And here I thought we might have some common ground...

"I disagree with you, and I like having my head in the sand (or am just fine with my team cheating) so you're an expletive, because I have no facts to defend my constantly failing perspective on life." - sleepy and hollow

Kudos for not working in "racism" somehow.
Don't you you have something better to do, like sell a war in Syria?

Old Ollie.... otherwise known as the "Brain Dead Fox News MeatPuppet" for his almost verbatim recitations of Rupert Murdock's opinions.

Thank you Sonsglow for pointing out what an idiot Ollie is.

@OldOllie--can you explain how a 60-39 Senatorial vote came down to the solo, Mr. Al Franken?

It's *dependent not "dependant." Also--the U.S. strives to be freer and fairer (ideologically) than all else. In what universe would we take cues from Mexico?

Al Franken' margin of victory was much smaller than the number of felons who voted illegally in that election. A poll showed that ~90% of them voted Democrat (naturally) -- enough to change the result of the election. Franken ended up being the deciding vote for ObamaCare.

Voter fraud is real, and it matters.

ultimakewl: There are over 1.8 million DEAD people still on the voter rolls, in the USA, and some are continuing to vote from the grave. That's not alleged, that's fact.

SmagBoy: Is the Wall Street Journal credible enough for you, or are you going to continue to doubt what I cite most of the time? Link

theres a big difference between alleged and proven
you can allege anything you want

and then when you consider all the elections from then till now and all the people that voted in each of those elections youre looking at maybe one thousandth of a percent of all votes

Please give credible sources, CrakrJak. Many of us have posted over and over legitimate studies showing no significant voter fraud here. At all. From real, legitimate, actual studies and actual verifiable web sites. Please list a credible citation for the stats you're using. Please?

drworm: There have been 46 states that have prosecuted or convicted cases of voter fraud.

There have been 2,068 cases of alleged voter fraud in the U.S. since 2000. And those are just the ones that got caught, there are an untold number that have got away with it.

This actually will fix the immigration problem. When the government controls which citizens can and cant vote everyone will want to move to Mexico.

I think it is stupid how many times they say they are trying to fight voter fraud when there has been no evidence of fraud.

Id (usually a driver's license), and some other form of ID, is required, IF you don't have voter reregistration card(which requires a valid mailing address).

Typically two pieces of ID and your mailing address, your allowed to vote once the id and address are validated. But SOOO much easier to just take your voter registration card. Which is automatically sent out, if check the Election Canada box on your income tax form.

Yup, that will fix it! There is like no corruption or fraud in the Mexican government.

It kinda surprises me that anyone thinks their vote still matters in any way.

MeGrendel, we've provided source after source after source proving that you're wrong about voter fraud. Please provide an actual valid source for your whole 46 states bullpoo instead of just repeating the lie. Please.

AJ, there are thousand upon thousands of vampires here in the US, too. And, yes, we vote. You can't prove that we're vampires, though, because we're super fast, super strong, and magical. And, no, unlike what you've seen in the movies, we don't sparkle in the sun. We're everywhere, but, don't try to prove it, you can't. I promise it's true, though. Honest!

Hey, I think it's super important that we compare ourselves to Mexico regarding voting rights. Right? Is that what we want? But, hey, if so, let's do it! The cards are 100% free to the voter, are used as official ID for determining age (buying beer), traveling, even to open a bank account. So, hey, if you guys want a national ID card, and if the government is willing to pay for it, by all means, let's do it up! While we're at it, a national system for voter registration and voting rights. Woo-hoo, viva Mexico!
