Bloing- That has to be a compilation of the stupidest things anyone has ever said on this board. Half of America is braindead? Here's a suggestion; put down the tabloid and pick up a damn newspaper. While you're sitting in your room popping off at the mouth about a president whose decisions don't have even the slightest impact on your life and bad-mouthing the men and women who believed him a capable man to lead this country, American contractors are having their heads sawed off and paraded around in front of cameras. I'm going to hazard a guess and say that this is why Al Jazeera had to go.
It sickens me to see a bunch of prepubescent blobs of amorphous clay ready to be shaped into whatever the link of the day molds them into spewing their ignorant, half-formed, self-contradicting "thoughts" on this message board. If you want to be as intelligent as you're trying to make yourself sound, look at an issue from every side, not just the one someone links you to.

I agree with pretty much everyone. Including Wardie. Now for the "Bush is the best/worst president" debate. I... don't think Bush is the Best. Actually, I think he is the worst. I mean, look what he did to all of the U.S. Money! Clinton took 4-8 (forgot how long he served) to fix the damage for what Bush's father did. And bush screws it up in his first term. I believe that Clinton said the Benchmark no president shall pass (or something) was 250 trillion. Okay, when Bush was president he had 500 trillion. That money kept draining away... month by month, year by year. By year (1 or 2) he had reached 4-3 trillion. By the end of his first term... the 500 trillion profit, was now (either 250 or 500) trillion dephicet. THEN by the end of his first term... People ELECT him again! Has hell frozen over yet?

After viewing these photos, I don't understand how Bush supporters can sleep at night. I guess if you're a republican, having a conscience is optional. Whatever.

"He is a man with so much courage and bravery to be over there, even though the conflict is not his own." - So he's simply sticking his nose where it doesn't belong does it?

"It's hard to block feelings of hatred toward everyone involved in this war." - Er, your husband is involved too, isn't he?

"Bush supporters are brain-dead. Not a news flash or anything...just saying." - Ergo: 51% of America has the IQ of a amoeba... You're right, nothing new.

"Look, they are going to get democracy whether they like it or not." - This could be America's butt-sticker... I daresay none of you has heard of Karl Popper... No? Didn't think so either...

I mean... George Bush Will Save Us All From The Meanie Terrorists! all hail George Bush! Remember: You Are Right, The Others Aren't, don't bother to think, just suck CNN's wiener.

"Why not just police the entire globe and "set up democracy" everywhere?"

Why? Let the corporations do it, they seem to get a lot more cooperation from governments then 'other' governments can get.

Why stop at Iraq? Or even start there, frankly. Why not just police the entire globe and "set up democracy" everywhere? But I guess Bush's humanitarian vision had nothing to do with its oil reserves and locational strategic value. :)

Bush supporters are brain-dead. Not a news flash or anything...just saying.

If anyone believes that anything done by this Administration is for the benefit of anyone other than Bush or Cheney's business partners or former cronies, yesmen, or sycophants, they're deluding themselves.
...former head of Halliburton as Vice President.
...former oil company exec as Secretary of State.
...former envoy to Saddam Hussein as Secretary of Defense.

Well, as long as we keep teh gheys from marrying, right? *rolls eyes*

If Bush was a noble person, he would have resigned after they found no WMD's in Iraq. I cannot remember a more hated American president in my lifetime, or the lifetime of my parents, and thats going back now to Roosevelt. "Our" troops dont support us. They support corporate america. "Our" troops have no idea why they are fighting in Iraq. They believe they are fighting for my right to speak freely. In reality, they are fighting for the right of corporations privatizing the fark out of Iraq. They fight for Citi Bank, Bechtel, Exxon...The last "war" to protect my freedom was vietnam. The soldiers lost that war. Im still free to speak my mind. I feel bad about americans who die in iraq, the same way i feel about iraqis who die in iraq. Here's a scary thought: We're training the Iraqi Army to kill Iraqi insurgents against democracy. Hmmm, that sounds a hell of a lot like a cival war to me..

the easiest way to expose your ignorance is to make a comment that just says 'bush sucks'. maybe if you had a reason...but frankly, your opinion means squat to me.

If you've missed the sarcasm, I was referring to the fact that the American Gouvernment is trying to take Al-Jazeera down (they subtly convinced the Qatar gouvernment not to fund them anymore) and to the "Embedded Journalism"-technique (and if you don't know this: hang yourself). And to a plethora of similar situations and incidents.

Democracy? By the Americans? America isn't a democracy; the only real democracy ever was in Athènai, when it fell, so did democracy, and never again will it have it's equal in history.

I have too much bitterness and arguments, so I'm just going to vent my spleen.

The American Gouvernment is manipulative and consists of nothing but greedy, demagogic fascists. Congratulations on your latest victory, pigs, or should I say, missed victory, because you got Nicola Calipari but missed Giuliana Sgrena. If you don't know who Calipari is, he's the Italian agent who got shot when he protected Sgrena (who just got released) from the bullets that were fired by American soldiers at their car. It might be an accident, but it looks more like another Great Step Towards Free Media in the Near East, right?

I support the idea not the means. Bush is going around waving his boomstick at any country he wants to act right rather than going through proper channels and ensuring these things are done right.

The sad thing is that they way he's doing it is inspiring less than moral acts through the US ranks and it really hurts everyone's perception of the US when you see pictures like the ones in the link or the torture of the prisoners last year.

I've heard quite a few Americans say that the Iraqis treat the US forces with barbarism so the US forces are responding in kind... but how is that going to show them that you're trying to help? The US army should be showing them humanity in the face of terrorism. Evil begets Evil, Violence begets Violence.

Like I said, I don't 100% agree with Bush. The WMDs thing was something that I disagreed on - However, when they were crying WMDs, I was thinking to myself that Saddam just sucked and needed to be taken out. (Can't think of a better term to use.)

I really wish we had just gone in saying, "We're going to set up a democracy."
