Excellent post. There should be more like this.

The Fleischer Brothers were innovators in animation. I love the Superman cartoons produced by Fleischer Studios in the early 1940's.

Wonder why the last name was spelled "Fleicher" (without the 's') in the opening credits of this cartoon.
