All tghe forensic evidence supported zimmerman. It showed the Fatal shot was fired while Travon was on top of Zimmerman.

I haven't been following this case much so could someone please tell me if Zimmerman shot the kid AFTER he was beaten and the kid was already walking away? Just curious because I'm pretty sure that where I live, doing that would get Zimmerman jail time no matter how badly he was beaten. The reason being is that it's not self-defence at that point when the aggression has ceased and the aggressor is leaving.

PBS Newshour: Has 4 "opinions" on right now. The two "pro-Trayvon" endlessly repeat the fantasies. No facts at all. Cannot even get the type of drink he was carrying correct:

Watermelon, NOT "Ice Tea".

The race card: it's the only card in their deck.

Florida is obviously the state you want to be in when you commit a murder.

They don't convict anyone, no matter how blatant.

Maybe George and Casey Anthony can start a reality show together.

It's a loop hole to prosecute him again for the same crime. Much like sueing in civil court and paying damages for a crime he was found Not Guilty of.

FYI, double jeopardy wouldn't apply if the feds bring charges related to civil rights violations and charge GZ with a different crime. That stated, a person can be tried in Federal court for the same crime that person was aquitted of in state court and vice-versa under the "dual sovereignty" doctrine.

Don't you love how the case created the white-hispanic race because a certain crown needs white in there to justify their hate. Can we call Obama a caucafrican-american then??

Feds are gonna look into the case and possibly charge GZ as predicted. But of course there is no Double Jeopardy in this country.

Personally, I don't really care what happened, who died or why. Evidently a lot of (mostly black) people do. I laugh at how some say they want to riot and/or kill Zimmerman. You'd think their demographic would appreciate the irony of mobs and lynchings.

"I missed the part where Trayvons fingerprints were found on the slim jim"

In point of fact they were not on the slim jim. However, neither GZs prints nor his dna were on the gun and we know he used it. It was raining heavily that night. Here is what we DO KNOW. Trayvon hid in those bushes. Trayvon had a history of breaking into cars and burglaring homes. It is not unreasonable to conclude that the slim jim found in those bushes was his after he had been seen "casing" cars.

Have some common sense for God's sake.

All of this was evidence in the trial but not shown to the jury.

GZ is innocent.
This is the law.
Innocent until proven guilty.
What evidence is there that he broke the law?
The prosecution closing argument was "go with your heart" not go with the facts.

It is not which side do you believe. He Is Innocent unless proven guilty. You must start from the innocent side and, with facts, work your way over to the guilty side.

The prosecution lawyers had no such facts. I assume therefore that the IAB population are more gifted and have these facts on hand to make the determination that GZ lied and did not have his head beat into the concrete that night.

Please present your evidence.

I missed the part where Trayvons fingerprints were found on the slim jim, and haven't found any sites saying they were.

Honestly, what difference would that possibly make to you? You made up your mind on GZ's guilt based entirely on you own bigotry before you ever saw or heard ANY evidence, and now you're too damned arrogant and pig-headed to admit that you might have been wrong.

You suffer from "concrete brain syndrome" -- all mixed up and permanently set.

OldOllie - thank you for the trial excerpt.
I've recently received some hate-mail calling me a liar because I portend Trayvon is not the innocent, candy-bearing cherub he has been made out to be.

The fact that you would run away like a little girl is duly noted.

@jtreb: And this comes from... your rich fantasy life?

I pity the fool who stands behind me in line at the supermarket! HEY! You following me? @jtreb says this is legal: *POW!*

Really? O'Really?

Ok troll-boy: If what GZ says is 100% true? Then YES TM DID "deserve a bullet". Deal with reality, son.

You have some PROOF that GZ is making up lies? Lets hear it!

@jops360 The reason why he won the case was that every single bit of evidence and testimony corroborated his version of events, and NOTHING the prosecution presented was able to refute even the smallest detail of it.

oldollie - so 5-6 days after, they found a slim-jim? that sounds really convincing. did they not look before? im sure there was an initial investigation right? the only reason he won the case was because it was his word against nobody. with him killing the only witness all they had was circumstantial evidence and it was not enough to convict.

I don't rememember any "slim jim" being connected to Trayvon.

That's because you get your "news" from left-wing censored sources.

Here's an excerpt from the trial:

O'MARA: As a matter of fact, there was a type of a tool found in the area where Trayvon Martin may have been hiding, wasn't there?
SERINO: Approximately five, six days after the investigation at the scene, yes.
O'MARA: Right. When you went back, you looked in the bushes and you found, what was it?
SERINO: It was a piece of an awning belonging to - I believe it was a piece of a window - piece of hardware basically. Looked like a slim Jim.
O'MARA: Slim Jim, and what's a slim Jim?
SERINO: A slim Jim is a device used to jimmy locks on vehicles primarily.
O'MARA: To break into a vehicle?
SERINO: Yes, sir.
O'MARA: And that was found a few days after this event?
SERINO: Yes, sir.

Why didn't we hear about this a year ago?

jtrebowski-"Even if Trayvon threw the first punch, if he felt in fear for his life, he had every right to do so. Legally."

No, not legally. One of burdens of proof for the stand your ground law is that a 'reasonable' person would feel in fear of their life.

Being followed by someone does not make me afraid for my life.

Having my head repeatedly beat into the sidewalk by someone, on the other hand, does.

Of course, your inability to recognize the difference is par for the course.

@oldOllie: Why I bother feeding you, I have no idea, but not only are you relying on pure character assisination (based on what..well.....) I don't rememember any "slim jim" being connected to Trayvon. Were there any fingerprints?

5cats: "If "following someone" is a life threatening situation?" It can be. The fact that you would run away like a little girl is duly noted. So is the fact that, in light of our previous conversation, you conveniently ignored OldOllies earlier comment.

@paco664 You forgot the most likely outcome:

C. 1st-degeree murder, because that's where this was headed.

The facts:

Martin was a violent criminal. His record was suppressed by the judge and censored by the racist liberal media.

TM was suspended from school for "behavior problems."

TM belonged to an MMA-style "fight club."

TM was busted with burglary tools and women's jewelry that he couldn't explain.

From the time TM left the 7-11 till GZ called police to report a suspicious character was 45 F***ING MINUTES! The 7-11 is a 10-min walk from his house. TM was NOT walking home from the store; he was casing the neighborhood.

When GZ ended his 911 call, TM was <50 yds from home. The first 911 call by a neighbor was >4 min later. TM had plenty of time to make it home. Instead, he doubled back and sucker-punched GZ.

TM ditched a slim-Jim in the bushes before he jumped TZ.
