You cannot convince a Liberal that there is ANYTHING wrong unless a Republican did it. If Obama does the same exact thing, it is the best thing ever. It really is a sickness of the mind and will ultimately be the undoing of this country.

Pretty funny watching changelings scrambling trying to justify something they would've wanted Bush's head for.....

So... Everyone's forgotten about the Patroit act? Which was completely worst then a "COURT ORDER" that gives the NSA a list of whom you called?

Patriot Act - Unwarranted wiretaps, Legal surveillance of "lone wolves," and unwarranted searches of any contacts.

NSA Surveillance Court Order - Collects your last called records and data

Maybe you guys should sending dick pics over your phones.

Gerry: And all the while the POTUS and his cabinet have been using secret e-mail accounts in violation of the law.

The president's communications, by law, have to be known. The congress has the power of oversight over the president, via subpoena if need be. He wants oversight on all of us, but none over him. That's pretty much the definition of a tyrant right there.

When Bush read your emails and you didn't object, that lead to Obama taking your phone records without warrent. If nothing is done now then the next POTUS will do what? Remote turn your phone on and listen in your home? Drone strike you inside the US? If you think it's impossible, well it was impossible to read our private emails 25 years ago, so there you are.

the funny part about this papajon0s1, is that this law was introduced under obama's administration.

Agreed - I don't understand why we are talking about Bush. Unless I am horribly mistaken, the law was introduced in 2009.

We can argue about Bush laying the framework, but doesn't that carry the implication that Obama is a bigger douchebag than Bush, since Bush did not implement such a law even though he could have?

I know this is difficult to understand, but, this has been going on since before Obama took office. I'm not saying it's right or wrong, I'm not blaming Bush or Obama, or applauding them. But let's put it in perspective.

See any similarities yet?
Obama's interchangeable. The next POTUS will be worse.

It's a bit about trust me thinks. Would I trust Bush to use the law honestly? Perhaps. Would I trust Obama to do so? Not a chance.

Just because Bush was the first to rape our constitution doesn't mean we should allow the gang raping to continue. Especially not with this elitist liberal snob that defiantly thumbs his nose to congress and the rest of us.

I know people hate political discussions. I've avoided it (at least to my recollection) on here, but I really want to make what I think will be my only political comment. I really hope that, with all the nonsense that has come to light that the Obama administration has been pulling, people who vote for him will pull the blinders off already. I voted for him the first time around, which I'm kind of embarrassed about, but I didn't do so the second time, and I'm now a proud supporter of ABO - Anybody but Obama. I think he sucks at this job, and he scares me with a lot of the shiz he pulls. It doesn't really matter who we vote for, though, because of the electoral college. We Americans have little to no say regarding who becomes president. I just hope a strong Republican candidate emerges in 2016. I'm from New Jersey and really wish Christie would run. Oh, and on a kind of related note, it pisses me off that Obama compares himself to Reagan. He's probably rolling over in his grave.

no Mikeoxsbigg, NOTHING is not worth losing freedom. even though i am old and boring and benign, i don't feel the government has any need whatsoever to monitor me in any way, shape, or form.

it was bad in the late 1960's and early 1970's when libraries were required to turn over information on people who borrowed Mao's Little Red Book. apparently that was only the beginning of the erosion of our freedoms. or perhaps it was just one of the first public notifications.

i weep for my kid, step-kids, and grandchildren.
