When I lived there, traffic laws were not enforced because they are not in the Quran. Every time I drove anyplace, I saw fatal accidents. I frequently saw men reading the Quran (about the size of a large-format dictionary) on the steering wheel while driving. And, yes, big-ass American cars are as popular as Euro-trash vehicles of higher quality.

There are some crazy bastards over there. They have no fear on the road because they believe if it's their day to die, they're going to die anyway, and if it's not their day to die, then they're f*cking invincible. So no point in being careful. It's the principle of maktub "everything is written".
