Now, im a left winger from South america. Argentina to be exact. And im not gonna lie, from a USA citizen's point of view, im a drating communist, although im not. Not 100% at least.
So you can imagine what my opinion of the 1% tends to be.
STILL, i don't think this is entirely bad. This provides a good income for people who would otherwise have a VERY hard time providing for themselves, let alone their families if they have any.
Of course the best course of action would be a fairer nation in which the mega rich pay most of the taxes but im not stupid, there is no way the USA working class will.. realise they are all in this together, let alone being heard by your puppet government!

@Juggalette, I was not commenting about socal's comment at all. I was simply stating that these women were paying for a service that they could have gotten for free. Most theme parks charge for a faster entry, I know. I was pointing out that Disney does not. Mostly my comment was to imply that I am pretty sure this is not a real news article because it's very clear that all the information they have stated is completely false.

@mykunter yes....it is exploiting them...hiring them for the sole purpose of going on rides faster is wrong. Using their disability to your advantage is drated up.

@twilight socal was talking about flash passes for six flags which range from $45 for the regular one to $95 for the platinum...

This post made me want to comment so I had to sign into my old account.Pardon the name, my 13 year old self has brought shame upon me.There are so many things wrong with this article.
1.Fastpasses are free. They are available at almost every ride and in every park. All you need to do is insert your ticket into the machine.A fastpass will be printed out.Don't have a ticket? Impossible, it's required to enter.Your fastpass will have a time on it.Come back to the ride at that time and you will wait in a much shorter express line.
2.I've never waited that long for It's a Small World in 20 years.
3.A wheelchair or scooter does not provide instant access. Most rides do not have an alternate entrance. The stand-by line at all Disney attractions can accommodate wheelchairs. You will be directed there. If you have a Guest Assistance Card you will be allowed in the fastpass line.If there is an alternate entrance, you will wait there for the same duration as the current wait time.

So we shouldn't hire handicapped tour guides? Isn't that discrimination?

@socal, buying a flashpass is a lot better than exploiting/taking advantage of a handicapped person...they're not the same at all.

who cares? They get to take a handicapped person to disneyland and not wait in lines. everyone wins except for the poor/cheap people who cant afford it. Im not saying I am rich but I went to six flags i bought a ridiculously expensive Flashpass that put me in the front of the line when ever we wanted and stay on the ride for a second go around if we wanted. We would get alot of dirty looks and people would actually say something and get angry but I would just smile and say "Sorry your welfare doesn't cover flashpasses." or "one day kid, when you get a job you'll get to spend your money however you want." Like I said I'm not rich, I serve tables (aka ghetto black people) at a well known chinese restaurant (starts with a P.F.) in L.A. My job sucks but I am self supporting and for once it felt really really really gooooood to have those passes and rub it in peoples faces. I worked damn hard for those and for one day I knew what it felt like to be better than everyone e

Wait, I'm sure I can get some poor person from China to come to HK Disneyland. What modifications do I need him to get done?

Wouldn't these guides have to do this on a regular basis? Wouldn't the ride people recognize them after the first few times?

let me tell you a story about a boy who wanted nothing more than to ride the new wooden roller coaster at the nearby amusement park. for his birthday his parents took him to the theme park, but instead of spending the day on all the older rides, this little boy spent his birthday waiting in line just so he could ride the new wooden roller coaster. for hours and hours he waited, and when it finally came his turn to ride the roller coaster, another boy in a wheelchair rolled up behind him and was allowed on first. the car was at full capacity, so the little boy would have to wait for the next one. but there wouldnt be a next one. the park was closing, and that boy in the wheel chair took that poor little boys last spot on the new wooden roller coaster. and as that last car pulled away, the boy in the wheel chair looked back at the little boy, and smirked. this story isnt true, im just saying screw the handicapped. they wanna be treated equally they can wait in line like everyone else.

When we went, waiting in line wasnt at all a problem because we had those flash pass things or whatever they are called..we waited maybe 15 or 20 minutes at most per ride. We got to ride pretty much everything while we were there and some rides we rode more than once..we visited all of the parks and went to the Micky's Halloween party thing,Which was pretty cool because anyone who wasn't wearing a special bracelet for the party had to leave the magic kingdom, so it made riding rides especially easy..we did not wait at all for the it's a small world or pirates of the caribbean along with many of the other rides..Also we went in late october so there were not as many people at the parks..I prefer the fall because otherwise the summer there would be way too hot and way too many people.

Haha McThstipnts thinks America is Capitalist. LOL. Fed Central Planning of the economy, the loss of risk, vital to Capitalism, in the economy starting with the government bailout of LTCM in 1998 and continuing to this day, the unequal treatment of businesses, centrally planning who will be a winner and who will be a loser, policies that actively encourages bubbles such as Quantitative Easing that concentrates wealth and suppressed interest rates that should be determined by market forces - these are all anti-capitalist policies that are occurring today. And they are dangerous and the cause of dysfunction.

Corporatism is not Capitalism. They could not be more different.

There is no way anyone waits in line for 2.5 hours for It's a Small World. If you do, you aren't planning your day right.

Paying someone cash to stand in line for you is not different from spending your time to stand in line yourself. Both are real costs. Because one form of cost is less easily measured than the other doesn't make it any less a cost.
