In Pennsylvania I saw the coolest coloured dragonflies ever: 2 dragonflies coloured like mint chocolate chip ice cream. The bodies were the exact colour of the mint ice cream and the wings were matte and opaque (completely!), and a solid black... never did see anything like that before or since.

I like dragonflies. Particularly the cardinal meadowhawk, because it's red and has such a cool name.

They didn't tell you that the dragonfly breaths through its anus most of their life in its nymphal stage. And they propel themselves with explosive diarrhea, well sort of, by suddenly expelling water through the anus. Must have great breath.

Interesting fact about dragonflies: They can't walk. Their legs are only useful as docking clamps.
