If this was Fox, there would be hell to pay. But since it's CNN, it's only funny not disgraceful. Yeah, there are no double-standards.

John Stewart [and Steven Colbert] have more integrity than almost any REAL news pundits.

"News" programming no longer exists. It has all been replace with "Infotainment" programs more concerned with ratings or furthering the wants of their owners than in disseminating the actual truth.

Say what you want about the news channels and their "reporting" or even the late night fake news (Daily Show, Colbert) but Nancy Grace is pure garbage plain and simple. She is just one of the reasons why CNN can't be taken seriously and that is said knowing that FOX News is their rival.

"Stewart is more intellectually honest than most his fellow liberals in the media, and he is MUCH more so than most of the libs here. Can you even imagine what they would be saying if this were FNC?"

Weird, a week ago you basically said, "drat Jon Stewart."

Jon Steward is so funny, and he's just telling us how it really is.

"Can you even imagine what they would be saying if this were FNC?"

Probably about the same things we say every time FNC has been caught manufacturing or manipulating the news. There's no shortage of them to choose from...

Wow! Stewart is actually FUNNY!
And even makes some valid points. Apparently by accident.
CNN spent SO MUCH time covering this stupid story? They had NO TIME AT ALL for "trivial" things like Gosnell or Benghazi...

It's almost as if THAT was the plan all along...

And that Stewart is part of that plan too...

Unfortunately the news is not about the news anymore. I don't watch CNN or Fox or NBC, local news, nothing. I generally will if something HUGE is happening but shenanigans like this is one reason why I don't trust them what-so-ever. Ludacris.

Like always you are wrong.

John Stewart and the Daily Show hold themselves accountable for what they say. They show a surprising amount of integrity when it comes to what they air unlike the major news networks.

"All while hiding behind his cowardly perch of satire"

Not sure you understand the value satire has in a democratic society...

@Andrew155--I can actually recall a recent instance of Jon Stewart taking time to apologize and correct information in a previous episode that he'd found out was incorrect.

Exactly. Comedy shows don't have accountability to tell the truth. They're meant to be entertaining.

News shows should be held accountable for truth. The fact that it's a comedy show that has to do so by inexplicably doing better research and reporting than professional "news" organizations - backing it up with video evidence... I just have to laugh. Otherwise I would start to actually think about the implications of that and be very afraid.

My favorite example is when all the networks were inexplicably pretending Ron Paul did not exist when he was second-and-third in early polls.

I haven't watched the Daily Show in a long time, not by choice mind you I just don't have cable anymore.
I'll be damned though, it's still got it.

He picks on Fox for being evil, CNN for being incompetent and lazy. All while hiding behind his cowardly perch of satire, and because of that he is accountable for nothing he says regardless of its truth level.
