No ID to vote = OK!
ID required to buy birth control = OK!

Typical Democrat "logic"...

Age 15? Where did they pull THAT number from? Why not 16? Why not 14? Any real reason for it?

By the way, the real conservatives DO consider this to be abortion since there is no interference with fertilization. The expected hormonal effect is that an embryo is unable to attach to the uterine lining and is, therefore, lost. So, assuming that fertilization occurs, this is a form of intentional abortion. Unfortunately, I can't argue with that logic.

On one hand, as a father of 2 young teenage girls, I'm a bit uncomfortable that easy access to Plan B may let them think it's safe to have sex now. On the other hand, as an Obstetrician who's done C-sections and abortions on 13 year old girls, I think Plan B is a MUCH BETTER alternative! The only issue, then, is protecting them from STD's which can have really awful outcomes. So, yeah, you're right.

Certainly they do, AJ! Condoms, vasectomy are two. I think that in other countries they have male BC pills, too. No doubt, men do and should have them, too!

"women's reproductive rights"

Wait a second. Men have reproductive rights too.

Those of who are angry with the Administration (the few of us, I guess) are angry because this is not abortion, this is not an unsafe, untested product (it's as safe as ibuprofen), yet, because it's "political" the Administration is trying to find middle ground and not piss off conservatives. This drug ought to be available for sale to anyone, without ID, without any requirements, and the reason it's not is because the administration is trying to appease the political right at the cost of women's reproductive rights. It's spineless and condemnation-worthy.

It should be available if there are no side effects.

It isn't an abortion pill. It stops conception, it doesn't terminate it. It conception occurs, the pill does nothing.

I don't want a bunch of worthless kids with worthless teen parents running around, turning America into Idiocracy. Kids are gonna drat, so help them do it responsibly.

Teach abstinence. Failing that a condom. Failing that, take the pill idiot lol.

Reducing the age restriction from 17 to 15, rather than taking it away altogether...so, people are angry Obama's being more conservative than the judge? Sure, you can see why the judge would be ticked off, but is this really a issue?

I said "BS" in the submission, but someone upgraded it to the correct word!

And the ID requirement isn't a racism concern, it's an age concern. Not all 14, 15, 16 year olds have an ID, but that is no reason to prevent them being in control of their reproductive rights. Requiring ID is tantamount to parental permission and there are all sorts of reasons not to require that regarding birth control.

Gerry, I try not to engage you too often, but comparing Plan B to alcohol or tobacco is about as ignorant a comparison as comparing pedophiles with homosexuals. Pretty intellectually primitive and shameful.

The problem I see with Plan B is that it lulls one into a false sense of security. Girls, and guys, will just have it on hand and in turn possibly promote more sex among the younger population. Honestly, if these kids want it, then fine, emancipate yourself and become a productive member of society. You wanna play mommy and daddy? Then pay like mommy and daddy.

They say plan b is safer than many over the counter meds like motrin and asprin, so why the hell not sell it? It's not an abortion pill, it prevents contraception from happening...much like birth control. I say force feed it to the hood rats when they come in to pick up their welfare and food stamps.

Alcohol's pretty safe too, why don't we drop the dinking age to 15? Oh, some things are for adults... okay. Well then yeah, plan b is an adult thing.

An ID should be required for both, obviously. Other countries do it, and it's not racist for them. I've also lived in Harlem, and surprise, black people have ID's. I know, it's amazing. They buy alcohol and drive with them, too! Yes, they're not little children that the white master's have to protect after all.
