What a sweetie! My cat does this to me when I call out the neighbor's cat's name. Not as gentle, though.

My siamese, Minchi, does this. My hubby likes to tickle me and I squeal a lot. He thinks I'm being attacked and will voice his displeasure followed by attacking any exposed toes. Unfortunately, my hubby wears slippers and my toes are usually the ones that get bitten. T_T

For those of you not sure they were faking to show the cat's unusual, awesome behavior. The dad pretends to strike the kid but doesn't while others laugh at kitties antics. At first I though he must hit his kid normally to have found this out but then I realized the broomstick got little reaction while pacing and nagging the boy got a lot so I'm guessing that's all dad normally does and why it is so funny to them.

If this were my kitty attacking, his butt would've been tore up already and there would've been bloodshed.. Yes, she is a b!tch but I still love her..

I agree with 5Cats. Disturbing to watch but after a while there is a sense that this may be a reenactment so they could film it. Or, maybe the cat is just hungry and the human fight is interfering with its meal time.

That poor cat is traumatized. Trying to save it's person as he is berated by his own father. Staged or not, I love this kitty.

@PinkRhoid: it might be a "door opener" for the cat flap? Or a really big bell (they're quite fashionable in some places!)
So: I hope this family is just "playing around" in order to get the kitty to "do her trick".
Otherwise it's VERY disturbing. But I think I can hear the boy laughing too... I hope!
Modern ones are quite small, but they used to be big...

Pretty cool cat, funny video, but is that a drating shock collar on a cat?
