@robthelurker I'd bet every penny I've ever made that Brittany Murphy was never as self-absorbed as this talentless tw@t. Brittany Murphy was a great actress that could act circles around Witherspoon.

@peakingo do you think that if this hadn't been publicized that she'd be "owning her mistake?"
She has probably had her lawyer trying everything to suppress this.

Wow, I'm just appalled....

How dare that officer place her under arrest after she disobeyed a lawful order to remain in the vehicle? Of course this comes after the despicable act the officer commits in pulling over a drunk driver and doing his job.

And poor Miss Witherspoon...denied her god given right to attempt to use her name to intimidate a law enforcement officer....

Nothing new but always entertaining when elites experience sudden righteous indignation when realizing that for some odd reason rules and laws apply to them. How completely unfair!

I think my favorite part of all this, is how she's stating that she lives in a free country which somehow strongly contradicts what she was pushing for in the gun control ad released by Mayors Against Illegal Guns. Don't you just love the false sense of "genius" that celebrities place on themselves?

Nice one @OldOllie!
She's so entitled, she should be called Reese Silverspoon. (because she was born with a silver spoon in her mouth, get it? get it?)

After they book her into the county lock-up, she'll be Reese Withouterspoon.

(See what I did there?)

That definitely sheds a bit more light on why he did what he did. That I can understand. However, I think a disorderly would be more reasonable than obstruction, she was obviously wasted.

The cop didn't really make me angry too much by his actions, and if they were both wasted going down the road then f*ck'em in my book. I just don't like it when cops say things like, you have to obey me. It just instantly pisses me off. Some guy/gal manages to get a badge and gun and suddenly it goes to their head and the laws they learned go out the window. Somewhere along the line some cops lose the protect and serve mindset and replace it with a, you must obey me even if it has nothing to do with any law, and that I just can't stand.

Anyway, now that I have the full story this video makes perfect sense to me, thanks.

He better watch it. She played a lawyer in a movie. I think there was even a sequel.

You absolutely have the right to ask questions as long as it doesn't interfere with the cop making a lawful arrest. Get in the cops way and get arrested the end.

You stupid f ucks!!! What makes you think the cops run a debating club. With so many a ss holes to deal with you think the cops have the time to listen to your BS about your rights!!You only have rights when you deserve them !!!!

I'm on her side. She (and I) have the right to walk around and talk (ask questions) all she wants. She doesn't have to "obey" his orders unless she is doing something illegal. The cop can just ignore her.

I don't think she is acting like an entitled a-hole...I just think she is wasted. People over-react to things when they are wasted.

In a later statement, Ms. Witherspoon said she was out of line and completely embarrassed by her behavior.

Not great behavior, no. But it wasn't all that bad either. If that was the worst that cop had to deal with all week, he's stationed in Paradise.
