Heat Is Not Good! For solar panels!

Sand dunes 500' high? Also not good...

So it's a lovely "concept" but like most hippie ideas? Not likely to work... ever!
And may make matters worse even if it did work...

#23 Sure! In a perfect world...
>You'd need to cover the Sahara with solar panels of at least 0.3% efficiency. That's what? 1 million square miles? NOPE: Wiki Says: 3,600,000 Square Miles!

>They'd need to be 100% clean! No dust or sand on them or huge loss of efficiency!
>The loss along transmission lines would need to be factored in too. apx 25%
>And at night? No power. So it would need to be stored (somehow) for MORE than half the day. (Production would be LOW near sunset and after sunrise, eh?)

I wonder how much 3.6 million square miles of BLACK PLASTIC would warm the Earth? I'd guess... A LOT!

And cost? 100 square miles of solar panels may cost... 20 billion? So it works out to... 72,000,000 BILLION dollars!

So, for #31, um, what is up with that? Does that not make it harder to go pee?
