Those cops should be given a week off. To practise their marksmanship. They missed. Now this guy gets all the publicity he was looking for

He was shot multiple time how'd they miss?

"He did bad things. I do feel bad for him, though."

This is exactly what I mean. Those that feel bad for him now, will take this information and spin it to try and get others to feel bad for him.
Not saying it will work but just my opinion on how those with anti-American sentiment will try to push.

Feel bad for him?

Why? He voluntarily assumed an active role in a bombing. He may well have shot a campus cop in the head. He planned to kill others.

Yeah, I can see why you'd get all misty-eyed over him. Poor baby. He just needs a hug...

You reap what you sew. Bomb a marathon, kill a cop, expect to get your ass shot while hiding.

WTF did some of you morons expect, an engraved invitation to pop around the nearest police station 'at his earliest convenience?'

Oh please! After all that happened, after people dying and so many hurt, completely ignoring the failure of the system under the Obama administration, THIS is what gets your panties in a wad? Now my pockets hurt again.

Don't care assuming he's unarmed is how people die. Hurry up and waterboard this sack of s**t so we can put him in general prison pop where they'll sodomize pretty boys throat hole.

@madduck, I totally understand how you feel. In fact, when I first saw this post last night I just wanted to comment that I simply didn't care...but then I really wouldn't be contributing very much to the discussion.

I believe that the practice of gross media coverage over criminals caters to a rather tawdry aspect of the public psyche.

That aspect has been prevalent in us for quite some time in the forms of public exposure, humiliation and punishment...though, it's no longer considered humane to parade a criminal on the back of a donkey through town or brand the unchaste with the mark of the adulterer and tarring and feathering is definitely out. We no longer have pillories or public executions so the media fills in as the outlet for our barbarism.

i get fed up with this, the man is accused of a heinous crime, he needs a fair trial. If he is found guilty he should serve a sentence- I get fed up of trial by media. It makes it damn near impossible to even GET a fair trial, and turns these people into celebrities. I do not care what he had for breakfast- or what shoe size he is, all anyone should care about is that justice is done, a true account is discovered. after that- if he is guilty- never ever want to hear his name again.

The fact that he has to live out his days with a hole in his throat, no ability to eat or speak normally with full living memory of killing his brother really is the justice he deserves.

Well played karma.

I don't give a drat if the guy was knitting a sweater for his grandma in that boat. Shoot his ass happily!!!! He could have easily thrown any weapon out while he was running. Are there really idiots on here trying to paint this evil bastard as a victim? Give me a damn break!!! drat him and his brother!!!

I'm just pointing out that this fact will most likely be used to demonize either America or the Boston police force by making him seem like the poor hunted fox stuck in a bear trap.

I'll bet on the WP using a web page displaying 'national security', 'firearms' and a big picture with roses as the foreground and 'boston strong' as the focus to just get people to go to their web page. hey it worked!!

tin foil hat time: the washington post is trying to say crazy people can be crazy people with out firearms on them at time of capture.

bigger tin foil hat time: people dont think hes a victim.

'They' can spin this all they want. He and his brother killed and injured civilians and decided to lob bombs at the cops after killing one. I won't shed one tear or lose one minute's sleep knowing the little moron got caught irregardless if he had a weapon or not.

I'm not saying it definitely will but I have a feeling that's the way it's going to be spun.

"It seems this is the first step into making the villain look like a victim."

How does this make him look like the victim? It's just the facts.

Ask the families of the dead, or the people that got their arms and legs blown off if they care if he had a gun or not.
It seems this is the first step into making the villain look like a victim.

Regardless if THIS is a conspiracy, it's interesting to see how many people are willing to consider the thought of a conspiracy where our government kills Americans to push their agenda. I guess people just don't trust government. I don't blame them. Government is corrupt.

I haven't heard anyone report on what the poor boat-owner's pride and joy looks like after those stun gernades and a hail of bullets. It must be shot to blazes! So much for your summer boating plans, bub.
