I heard that story years ago, but it was two doctors and a jackass.

...the trap will be sprung and many will witness the dance of three swords before it ends..."

@CodeJockey: Three swords? But Samurai only carry -two- swords... (j/k! NO need to explain!)

"Sprung Trap" Last time I posted a "trap picture" I got in trouble = lolz!

"EB: "That was a drag queen, idiot.""
XD!!!!

The moral of the story: "If you see Samurai Jack on the way to the festival in a dress, the trap will be sprung and many will witness the dance of three swords before it ends..."

@Solvent: The whole POINT of this story is NOT "compromise your beliefs"!
It is that SOME beliefs are MORE important than others!

Helping people is MORE important than "don't touch a female". (Literally, they mean never even shake hands.) So while the older Monk "broke one rule" he exemplified a more important rule!

Furthermore: To dwell on the negative is bad for you.

"And so the younger brother sodomized little boys who were faithfully a part of the cult. Oh, wait. I'm thinking of something else. Never mind."

Younger Sibling... I suddenly realized that denying ourselves our base biological desire to procreate as well as the pure joy that comes from a total and complete connection with another human for some silly, obscure religious concept was asinine.

This is just beautiful.
I was raised an atheist but chose to practice various religions for a number of years when I grew older out of interest (namely Tibetan Buddhism and Judaism) and it just appalled me to discover how often people, usually young scholars, would forsake decency to religious law.

This is such a lovely reminder that we should do what we feel will nurture us best in defiance of what we are told...the chocolate raspberry cheesecake is beckoning.

EB: "Younger Brother, I'm totally gonna 'connect' at the festival and you're going to waste your entire life wondering what it was like while hanging 10lb weights from your nuts..."

This came at a good time today.

Nice idea but I doubt the concept will catch on.
